Nope.... 6th level wizards simply don't operate on that power level.
If you really want him to be able to do so... the least powerful item with that kind of capability is a Mirror of Mental Prowess.... which he might have gotten from a much more powerful wizard.
I'm sorry. I meant able to cast 6th level spells, not caster level 6th.
Ordinary teleport to send them, lesser planar binding to have a janni pick them up works then. Plane shift a couple of times works even if it is absurdly inaccurate.

Point, I'd forgotten that. Maybe have the janni shuttle them both ways then.
I mean the wizard could teleport them there, teleport himself away then fetch them later the same way.
If the wizard is of sufficiently high level, than having him possess a Mirror Of Mental Prowess isn't that far-fetched.
Planar Binding (not the lesser version) is a 6th-level spell. You can call an efreeti and wish for Greater Teleport.
IMHO, that's a bit overkill. Shadow Walk should suffice.
A Bracelet of Friends will let him bring them back for (effectively) 4750 gp each. Might need more than one.
Ice Crystal Teleport is a 1-person teleport other.
