Help building an android

Advice

Hello.

Recently, i wanted to build an android PC, but im having some troubles with it.

First of all, how you should name an android? o couldn't find any appropriate for a female android. suggestions please.

Also, can androids have gender? or they are genderless?

In case anyone was wondering how she looks like, here's a doodle of her: (http://tinyurl.com/hgayylb)

The second one, im not very sure about the class, im between the brawler and the kineticist, i'm not quite sure, i have never played with a kineticist (have you? what are your experiences?) so i don´t know how much well multi-classing would work for this combination.

Thanks for your feedback.

There's an android telekineticist in one of my campaigns - she seems to be doing very well. She has more hp and deals more damage than anyone else in the party.

Androids can, and do, have gender. Names are hard to come by, though - I'd just make something pleasant-sounding up. Perhaps she was raised by another people (such as humans or elves) in which case she might have a name appropriate for one of those races instead.

I don't have any experience with brawlers, so I can't help you much there. Sorry. ^_^

As for names: The creator names his/her creation. Think about who created her and why. If it's for repetitive work in a factory it might be a number (R2D2, C3PO, 'three of nine'). If it is as a receptionist in a inn it might be something more human like. Or something like 'Siri'(TM)

As for gender: Physically there is gender. But without emotions and the understanding of them and no reproduction connected to it I think there is no meaning to gender. Even the cultural imprint would have to be programmed to start with.

Think of Data from Star Trek Next Gen.

Or you say all of that is bound to the soul and play it like any other humanoid, and just enjoy the different racial abilities.

Just my 2c worth

I think siri would be hilarious.

You can give your android whatever name you want. Depends on who named them; the creator might give them a name from their culture or just make something up.

I've actually played a kineticist/brawler, though the brawler was only a single-level dip. I'm not sure how a more full multi-class would be, but the dip worked pretty well. If you do mix the two, I suggest taking some of the melee talents (kinetic fist, kinetic blade, etc.) so you can make full use of your strength. For the kineticist, you'll have to pick an element to start off with. There's fire, water, aether, earth, air, wood, and void. (Not sure if I'm forgetting a couple there.) At later levels, you can either get more powerful in your initial element or branch out into other ones.

There was an android in the game I played the kineticist in, but it wasn't my kineticist. He was an occultist.

Most androids in Golarion name themselves. They wake up alone, ignorant of their past, and uninformed and generally take their names from the cultures they settle in.

Their general instinct is to try to pass as Humans, so they take Human names.

Now I want to play an Android Oracle of Lore called Siri...

Most androids have gender and can even enjoy sex recreationally. They just don't have the physical ability to sexually reproduce. And yes, most androids on Golarion are ignorant to their origins. They mostly pass themselves off as humans.

I like the investigator for androids. Studied combat feels very android to me.

Edit: And while your sketch is good, Golarion androids are mostly misnamed. They are more like synthetic humans than proper machines.
