Human unchained rogue favored class bonus

Rules Questions

Human rogues get +1/6 talent per bonus, i do believe is the same for the unchained version?

Also, is that bonus talent restricted by the Advanced Talent feature? For example, can I at level 6 get the talent 'feat'?

You get 1/6 of a rogue talent. Not 1/6 of an advanced talent. You can't take any advanced talent, including Feat with it.

Even if i take the bonus talent of level 18, that still is no advanced talent? Where do you take this from? Doesn't say it can't be advanced as far as i found. What's more, I've been finding character builds and people just use the bonus talent for advanced talents.

Because it specifically calls out "rogue talent" and doesn't say "At and after 10th level you can use this favored class bonus to select advanced rogue talents".

1 person marked this as a favorite.

"At 10th level and every 2 levels thereafter, a rogue can choose one of the following advanced talents in place of a rogue talent."

Seems to me that the class itself gives you the option to take advanced past 10. Which with points would be 12 and 18. While the favored bonus may not give you the advanced option, the class itself allows that substitution.

I can see a house rule either way but your class seems to have a built in wording that says you can make a choice at 10 and onwards.

Technically, you also shouldn't be able to take that FCB until 2nd level, as you don't have any Rogue talents until 2nd level.
