How much would a cheap bar cost?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

I was recently GMing a PFS scenario in which 1 of the players thought it would be a good idea to burn down a run down bar in the middle of a city. He thought compensating the owner about 100 gp. would be enough to mollify the owner. I don't think that would be near enough but have no idea how much it would actually cost.
It didn't happen but it made me curious; how much would such a bar cost?

Morag

Well an Inn costs "2,130 gp" in general, though if you want a more exact cost you can add the costs of the rooms together (those costs can be found here). It could be as low as "250 gp" depending on how small the bar is.

Liberty's Edge

As Milo v3 notes, the cheapest possible bar per the Downtime Rules in Ultimate Campaign is 250 gp to buy outright. A better bar might easily be ten times as much.

So...yeah, 100 gp isn't enough. Though 250 gp might be.

Reading and making sense of those stat blocks was like reading problems in high school algebra. They made no sense to me then and I can't make sense of them now.

... It's literally basic addition...

If you make a building with 2 "x rooms" and a "y room", then the cost = cost of "x room" + cost of "x room" + cost of "y room".

If it's cursed, haunted AND heavily taxed by the government or the mob, you can have it for whatever gold is in your pocket.
