Using a Centaur Mount: Double lance attacks on charge?

Rules Questions

Hi all! So this is my first post on the paizo board. ive played Pathfinder for about a year or so now, and have always lurked around the forum for potential answers to some of my build questions and possibly get some ideas for builds (like Blackbloodtroll's spear thrower barbarian. thanks man :) ). This one however, Im sure no one has asked.

So in the new PF play companion book released back in june, it adds two new Eidolon base forms: Avian and tauric. Tauric, is effectively a centaur. My question is, if Im a summoner who uses my tauric companion as a mount, give him the mart weapon prof evolution and give him a lance ( or any weapon for that matter, but if im charging i migght as well use a lance) and i give my summoner a lance (needs MWP feat of course), can I make an attack with both my lance and my eidolon's lance when I do a mounted charge with him? Or in general, can he make an attack as part of the charge, as well as myself making an attack, thus allowing two attacks via the charge, since we're technically two characters?

Thanks for any insight on this guys :-)

Short answer is yes - if you and your mount are both armed with lances then you can both use them on the charge.

If thats the case, I think I know what my next character I build is gonna be X-D thanks.

But do note that the mount doesn't get anything other than the basic charge bonuses, so using a lance is kinda meaningless since they are pretty mediocre weapons.

Awww. Guess Ill just give it natural weapons or some other weapon and itll make its attack (s) and I make mine

Also I realize this build is probably subotimal as all hell, but itll be funny at least lol

A clean-shaven dwarf is a hundred times more common than finding a centaur willing to endure the utter humiliation of being someone's mount.

Ask your GM if your Eidolon can use the Natural Jouster feat.

I assume this is due to a tauric creature not counting as mounted? I would be surprised if a home game didnt house rule that one away.

Drahliana is so very correct, played a Tia born centaur who was a zen archer, anytime anyone asked to ride him, he would rebuff them. If they continued to ask, it boiled down to "sure, I will serve as your mount, just as soon as YOU serve as MINE human!"

good times.

If it was a normal centaur, this would be true. In this specific cause though, the tauric creature is the summoner's eidolon. If the quadrupedial eidolon will let his/her summoner ride em, I dont see why the same couldnt apply to a tauric eidolon

And I'll have to ask my GM bout the Natural jouster feat. I think he'd probably let my eidolon take it. I just think itd be hilarious to see guy with a lance riding a centaur with a lance lol. It might give the AM BARBARIAN a run for its money X-D. I'm thinking of taking the undersized mount feat so I can pick a medium race, such as human, to ride a medium eidolon until I can get the large evolution.

Depends on the Centaur's mood and whether or not he agrees with your tactics. They are intelligent beings, after all.

They're also extremely prideful. To see the flipside, how much are you willing to humiliate yourself to give someone else a tatical advantage?
