Aren't you going too far in that tolerance thing?!

Wow, those inside out scales look painful.

To those not affiliated with my social networking. Happy Treason day, Ungrateful Colonials. *drinks tea properly, nose stuck well up in the air*

Ah me, ah my. Back to work I fly...

Definitely I should GM some space sf game...

Music warning: metal song. Speed metal, I think, though I am not keen on such petty divisions.

Indeed! Back at you sir!

<Fires bottle rockets in Mini's general direction>

I blame the Steam Summer Sale and quill18 for this purchase!

Happy #Amerexit!

Drinks coffee, shoots AR-15 into air, points at Charles' ears and laughs uproariously

~curses~ Damn! I saw that, but did not check it out! ~goes to favorite for a future purchase~ Thanks for the heads up Patrick!

I picked up Life I Strange, Kerbal Space Program, all of the Dishonored DLCs, a few of the DLCs for Crusader Kings II, Vampire - The Masquerade - Bloodlines, and something else. I have too many games in my Steam library.

I think I played that game live on convention...

Oh yes! Homeworld Remastered was the other thing. I also picked up a few DLCs for some games that I owned.

I have the actual game, but sadly I lack local friends interested in playing. I have played it with Gruumaash and Doodlebug Anklebiter at a con here in MA. I'm hoping I can get a few people online who want to play with me.

If you buy it we'll have to set up some epic overnight tourneys:)

Home safe - easy trip back. It was good to see the mountains again. Though I had a great visit with the Momster. PLUS! the centenary celebration of the Somne led us to realize that the centenary of the Third Battle of Ypres is coming up next September. We thought it would be appropriate if we went to Flanders and/or Brechin and/or Edinburgh (we'll see where the Black Watch is having its memorial) to commemorate the loss of Mom's Uncle Jamie at Polygon Wood. So, funds allowing, I might visit the UK for the first time next year! Everyone else has been but me, so this is a big deal. :D

Now I have to go tranquilize the hound. Tonight is Doggy Hell Night.

Hera better get with the program and pass the k-y.

So. Called into work with 40 minutes warning.

Good thing: Shift=money
Bad thing: I was really looking forward to a down day to recuperate and do some household chores.

But, such is the life of a per diem. One shift closer to making enough money to survive

Whee! Got off work and went to a mexican restaurant with a friend. I am now pleasantly lit off one really good margarita. Ole!

One benefit to rarely drinking is that you become a cheap drunk. :D

Ole!

Indeed. Ole!

We are back from Vermont. We had fun, watched fireworks, hiked in the woods, hung out at the von Trapp family lodge. Good time and nice to get away!

Sounds nice CH!

I am back ,... briefly,... from visiting family in Oklahoma.

I get 3 days of trying to deal with all of the usual work-related stuff before driving the kids to go to Space Camp this weekend!

Yay driving!

(Not really, I always hate long drives. Giver me a plane flight anyday. BUT as flights are expensive, AND you still need a car when you get there,... driving it is!) ;P

Was family singing involved?

Please tell me it was. Don't destroy my dreams.

My family can sing!

Well,...
MOST of my family can sing.
I can sing well,
My daughter sings well,
My son can sing, but has decided that the performing arts are "Not my thing" so refuses to. :P
And my wife LOVES to sing, but can't carry a tune in a bucket with both hands. ;P

So,... When we watch Sound of Music, only My daughter and I end up singing along,.... ;)

Actually, I got a pleasant surprise today.

Turns out that my show from LAST summer, "Addams Family Musical" has received nominations for several "Rosie Awards" (Local version for the Tony's for the area's community theater groups)

Nominations include our show for best musical, and several cast members for "Best (Lead/Supporting,Actor/Actress) in a Musical" Including myself for Gomez!

:)

I'm flattered. And excited!

And yes, I have decided to attend the Awards Show in my Gomez pinstripe suit. :)

We will be taking the Wife's 15 year old cat to the vet today or tomorrow. He has an infected back paw that is swollen up and leaking some pus. It also might be broken or injured in other ways (might be cancer). That will be costing us a few hundred dollars just for that. But the worse part is that because of his age, we might have to put him to sleep. I would fight it because he is aware and eating and drinking (if I carry him to the food and water bowl), but it is not my call.

yay?

Edit - I just realized that he might also have a piece of glass in his paw. There have been several dishes broken in the past month or two.

I hope the outcome is good Sharoth. That's never an easy journey to take. My last puppy I had to make the call on I still grieve over. She was Daddy's little girl.

On a happier note:

GOOD MORNING TREEFORTNAM!!!

Another lovely day on the Silly Sandbar. No work today (or Thursday, or Friday, or Saturday..:/). So time to get out and make the most of my involuntary vacation!

It's been a week tracking my food intake. It's sobering how I have been working so hard to be mindful, yet I ate so much on autopilot. Having to commit to cataloging my snack patterns has really opened my eyes to how much random crap you come across to eat in a day. From birthday cakes, to packets of chips, to bowls of chocolates on people's desks. We seem to literally swim in available junk food. (Or at least I do-YMMV)
