I shave my head.

Yes, I am naked while I shave. Aren't you?

I just point to the GREY in my hair when talking to my kids about about how old they or I am.

And then I make sure that they know the bald spot is from stress at work, but the grey is ALL THEM! ;P

Wut.

Pretty much.

Insurance Companies ARE ridiculous.

When I bought my home, (only home we've ever managed to buy!) I had to get both home owners and flood, even though the property had never flooded. (Changes to zones over the years) I got them both from State Farm.

The next year, SF stopped taking flood insurance policies, and 'closed' down my account, I had to go and get flood through FEMA.

Fun fact- SF still processes all of my paperwork, including any changes/updates/etc to my coverage over the years. (YOU try and get FEMA on the phone, you cant get anything done yourself!) ;P

And I did flood (only a little thank heavens) so I turned in my claim, they actually did pay me (finally, that was back in August!) to get the minor flood damage repaired, (minus my deductible of course) and the check was made out by Geico.

I'm so confused. :/

Can I just fix my house now?!?!? :P

Oh, wait, not QUITE yet!
Because I have a mortgage on my home, they made the check out to me, AND Bank of America! I have to get BoA to endorse my check before I can deposit it! o_0

Can this year just, be, over, yet?!? >_<

Project Blue article. I would back this.

DIY Raspberry Pi Zero Handheld Game Console (Part 1)

Freehold DM might find this pretty cool.

As long as it's not season 1 Vir Cotto.

THERE IS SOMEONE NAMED SHAROTH IN JEOPARDY TONIGHT!

Can't sleep. Got up after some two hours in bed...

I could have slept, but sadly I ran out of time to do so. Thus I got two hours sleep. And now ... I work ... kinda

But, good news is my next paper is researched nice and tightly. I just need to sinter the disparate chunks into a cohesive whole.

Looking up cases in a law library is sooooooooo 20th century

I am so frustrated that it is still a thing in school. It's like teaching buggy construction at an auto mechanic's school

Once I leave school I will do everything via the Interwebz. Even my teacher admits he never uses law books. They are basically impressive-looking props at this point.

So basically I have spent a good chunk of this semester learning skills that would have been very valuable in .... 1980

Ah well, c'est la vie. I'd study the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow if that gets me my certificate.

Fun note: Hazelnuts are called 'filberts'. I just thought you might like to know that. I have no idea why, but it is a fun word to use

FILBERT

Not as fun as, say, triskelion, but a lot easier to work into conversation.

Being a vocabulophile is a fun thing when you deal with English. So many words, so many subtle shades of meaning. And we keep on stealing more and more from everyone else and making up our own (see vocabulophile above)! It's such great fun.

What is that saying?

"Other languages borrow words from other languages. Not English."

"English follows a word down a dark alley, clubs it over the head, and rifles through it's pockets for loose grammar."

;P

So.....just putting this out into the aether....

Sharoth and I are discussing the first Treeforticon. We are thinking swinging down to Savannah, then a meetup in Orlando for anyone in the Florida area. Anyone in the northern tier would be welcome for the ride. FHDM and Dave were interested iirc.

This is all in the embryonic stages, but you have to start somewhere. Anyone with any interest shout out and we'll start brainstorming. The timeline would be Spring Break, likely the mid-March time period. Probably a car ride south, for one week.

I can see certain similarities, especially just after getting out of the shower.

Just don't piss off Vir, I mean David.

Edit - B5 season 5 spoilers.

Hmm, do colors appear more vibrant to anyone else when they're angry?

I didn't bring as much food as I should have yesterday and I started noticing, along with my kinda empty tummy, that the blues of the Paizo site stood out a LOT more.

To my knowledge I hadn't done anything else differently, just hungry.

college was a surreal experience for me because my mother refused to believe things had changed since her college experience in the 70s. Utterly, stubbornly refused. Believed all the books for class were in the library. Believed that I should just come home for lunch or bring food with me. That if I got a job while in college I would drop out or get a girl instantly pregnant. So surreal.

Or in the <insert favored catastrophe here> -pocalypse, when the power goes down and we're forced to eat our own hair for nourishment.

In the randomopocalypse I think my lawyer skills will not be germane.

Unless that apocalypse will involve courts and lot of suits.

I've often wondered how I'll support myself in the event of an apocalypse. I'm guessing my computer networking expertise won't be much of a saleable asset if there's no electricity.

I'm a pretty decent personnel manager, though... Would that translate into a leadership position in a gang of post-apocalyptic wandering raiders?

If you can swing by Louisiana or nearby.
(New Orleans is a fun place so I'm told. Hint.) ;P

I'm a mechanical engineer who can make booze and knows how to handle various weapons without injuring himself. I figure that should make me useful to folks.

Grand Lodge

I'm not sure how much of my military training will be useful by the time the apocalypse hits. I've definitely let it atrophy in the soft living of civilian life.

I once got dropped by my car insurance because I made 3000€ in 3 cases together over15 years o.O
I called the insurance agent and asked him, he told me "well, just buisness, nothing to be done, nothing personal"
I told him "you realisze I will cancel all my other Insurances withyour company now?"
"you have other stuff with us"
"yes: third party ins., building ins., legal costs ins., household ins."
"but, but, let's talk about the car ins. we can surly work things out.."

To be fair, when you dial me up, there does tend to be an issue with women becoming pregnant just from being in the same room with you.

Well, Steve regretted letting his army skills atrophy after his neighborhood was invaded by a gang of militarized Pokémon Go players. Meanwhile, Holger's first place win at the Glorious Beard Competition inspired him to try and get his facial hair insured. And, across town, Patrick, Scott, and Max began drawing up a coordinated plan for surviving the.......No, wait! that's my soap opera!

It's on the list Rags... just likely not this trip :/

I'd like to pencil it in for Fall 2017 though! Big Easy is on my bucket list. Maybe Treeforticon 2017?

I could use something like that on all four of my cabs. I'd have to float it past my supervisors, but I don't think they'll mind.

Other than that, what's up everybody?!

My brother and I were discussing plans for a strategic retreat to Goliad, Texas. Apparently, there at fortifications in the state park.

Anyways.., looking for a place to nest for the night.

Catch ya in the morning.

Did I mention I have the urge to write-up and play a detached Alchemist?
