one of the many reasons why I so rarely drink.

Ok. That deserves a drink.

I miss Yellowdingo. I hope he is ok.

I take it he doesn't post anymore?

I'm guessing the aliens finally came and took him home.

Well, God speed Mr Meaney. May string theory invalidate all of your worries.

Woke up at 1:300 A.M. yesterday morning and scrolled through my Facebook to find an old classmate, after being on sobriety for ten years fell off the wagon. Later that evening he called 911 and then took his own life.

Suicide Hotline, PLEASE, if you ever consider this terrible act.

What a way to end the week. :(

I'm one sad pigeon.

ouch! I am so sorry for that BP.

Damn. I'm sorry, BP.

Sorry for your loss BP

You don't want to see dragon-fleas, you really don't...

And now for your weekend safety brief:

If you drink, drink in moderation. Alcohol addiction is second only to heroin in the horror factor. In fact in some ways it's worse. Take it from me, I'm dealing with a couple really bad cases tonight. The DTs are a real sad thing to watch. Be smart, stay away from dosing your problems with liquor.

This has been your monkey PSA.

And it's more common, more insidious, and the path toward it is much more tolerated socially.

Also, I don't remember if it's the case with heroin, but for really late phases of alcohol addiction cold-turkey quitting can even kill you because of imbalance of neurochemicals in your brain. Unlike quitting smoking or weed which never incorporate themselves into brain chemistry to that degree.

He closed his account two years ago after his brother died during Christmas due to prolonged aggravated illness that was mishandled by doctors.

Scarab Sages

Sorry to hear about your friend, BP.

I can get 300 words typed on my PC before it freezes and must be POR'd.

Reinstalling Win 10 now. *sigh*

Damn.

Probably my fault somewhere along the line.

One cat with that many fleas is gonna need a lot more than flea drops.

Sorry to hear about your buddy, BP.

Is it just me, or has there been a lot less internet traffic over the last week or so?

Internet traffic?

Forums and FB have been comparatively dead, nobody is responding to e-mails or FB messages, fewer site updates, etc. I do most of my business online, and my sales are by quite a large percentage this month.

Possibly post-election hangover?

Whatever it is, it's really disconcerting.

I hope it gets better for you

Me, I'm just happy I'm still holding it together with this schedule

That's putting it politely. I remember the images he posted. It was..well...I was going to say "horrible" but that seems so inadequate. The trauma of his family over what his brother suffered, and how he suffered...it was...I have no words bad enough.

Sunday morning and a 16-hour stretch of free time! It's a sybaritic splendor!

Of course eight hours of it is already gone, but hey

I'm just hoping all the bellicose drunks have been sent home/to jail by the time I get to work

Wrestling a puke-covered drunken teenager wasn't my idea of a fun Saturday night

Unrepentant, angry, drunk, hostile, physically and verbally abusive, massively ignorant and wearing it like shining armor against all arrows of reason.

I predict a very hard and ugly life for that kid.

I tell you, if I could survive without that hospital job I'd turn my notice in tomorrow. It's only a matter of time before something bad happens there. It's like the freakin' Wild West.

But, anyway, on to happier things. Thanksgiving is upon us!

Or as I like to call it, Fat guy's Christmas

I am cooking dinner for three guests. I'm excited, but I need to plan out my campaign. I got an interesting brining recipe I think I'm going to go with. I need to prep the dinner roll dough the day prior. And, of course, get the stuffing set. I go minimalist with stuffing: Bread, butter, Bells seasoning.

I'm going with apple crisp and vanilla ice cream for dessert. I know pies are traditional, but I'm not good at crusts, and I do love hot apple crisp married to cold vanilla ice cream

And of course, I'm having Thanksgiving on Monday 11/28. Actual Thanksgiving is too profitable a holiday to take off. I'm working 16 hours, but with double time that will be 32 hours. I'm just hoping the Holiday depressives don't ramp up early and show up Thanksgiving all likkered up and angry at the world because their ex-wife took the kids to the new hubby's in-laws' house for dinner..

Sky the color of rotten milk, high winds, blown-down trees, wet leaf piles, brownouts, freezing rain, and wet snow turning the ground into an ice-cold muddy soup. Just another beautiful fall day in central New York.

No snow here yet. Supposed to get flurries later.

~disgusted look~ Note to self. Do not neglect organizing your bills for over 6 years. It becomes a royal pain in the rear to organize.

Happy week of Giving Thanks!

I'm thankful I get PART of it off! ;P

The kids are thankful they get the entire week off.

I'm also thankful that they get the whole week off. That means they can help clean the house while I'm at work! :D

We have a hawk in the yard that hunts..., pigeons amongst other things. Stays around for week to ten days then disappears. I'm trying to get a tripod and camera mount so i can record him remotely and post it on YouTube.

An anthropomorphic hawk character.., hmmmmm. I like the sound of that.

Any suggestions on race?
