Mount? (Communal and the regular version.)

Yeah, maybe not the best spell ever but if you've ever read 101 uses for the mount spell you know that there's versatility in this one spell. Keep in mind that summoned creatures disappear when they drop to 0 hp, and that they must be summoned on a surface that can support them.

So this is what I've found so far.
- Augment summoning could be handy in keeping your horses healthy.
- So could the bloodline arcana from the abbysal bloodline.
- Handle animal and ride are a must, along with the mounted combat feat.
- Halfling with the outrider alternate racial trait is a possibility, but a human with the focused study alternate racial trait is better at level 8, and even more so at level 10.
- Focused mind is a trait that would help with casting from horseback, but magical lineage would be great with the right metamagic feat.
- The savanna child trait gives a nice bonus to either handle animal or ride.


Have with you a real horse.

Cast Mount, Communal and conjure six light horses.

Cast Misdirection and have the six light horses being detected as the real horse.

Cast Alter Self on yourself.

Go to town and sell the six conjured light horses.

PROFIT!


If you want your GM to hate you, cast Alter Summoned Monster.


You will then swap you Communal Mounts for a bunch Summon Monster II creatures, having them around for hours instead of rounds.

I cannot see why the GM should hate you.

Heighten Spell is the cherry on top of that particular sundae. Why stop at summon monster II? ^_^

While altered summon monster is really nice, the idea is to use horses and ponies to drive the GM crazy. (Only for a one-shot adventure. I wouldn't do this in a regular campaign.)

As for selling fake horses, that's already mentioned in 101 uses for the mount spell thread. The misdirection is a good addition though, I'll keep it in mind.

Communal Mount has value as a naval attack-&-disruption spell ... once close enough that you can put them all on the main deck of a nearby enemy ship.

The Veil spell plus Communal Mount spell allows your group to march with a long-durationed group of 6 additional bodyguards that look, feel and smell like any immensely dangerous creature you can think of.

Now I could still go for Heighten Spell + Alter Summoned Monster but that's not my style. I want to use horses to solve every problem a GM can throw at me. Even though they have DR3/good, energy resistance 10 and do an extra d6 worth of energy damage...

Is there an easy way to get a Sorcerer to learn Wartrain Mount?

Uh, nevermind. I need the Bloodline Arcana from the Abyssal bloodline, not the Bloodline Power. Crossblooded would work though, at a cost.
