Raging familiar ?

Advice

The idea is that a half-orc eldritch guardian 2/ barbarian x could share his amplified rage teamwork feat and the symapthetic rage feat with the familiar. That way both could rage with an additional +4 for amplified rage.

Would a familiar sitting on the PC's head or shoulder count as being adjacent?
How about a tumor familiar (if going aberrant bloodrager x/eldritch guardian 2) attached to the PC?

I think I'd go figment familiar so I don't have to worry about the familiar so much.
Or Protector if going tumor familiar so it can use bodyguard on me while we both rage.

Any idea to improve on this?

Some time back I had thought of a barbarian x/sacred huntmaster 3 build with ferocious companion and amplified rage to have a rager + AC combo but in one of our games we play with a low pointbuy and having an AC is somewhat frowned upon because they get stronger in comparison the lower the pointbuy is.

But at the same time a low pointbuy makes getting bonuses to stats (like rage and amplified rage) stronger. So I was looking for a build to get it without having an animal companion.

Familiar in your square is adjacent to you.

You need to go valet familiar because Amplified Rage isn't a combat feat so to share it your familiar needs to be a valet which gets your teamwork feats.

You could also go 3 lvs of inquisitor to not need to share the teamwork feat.

If you don't want to annoy others in your group by having an animal companion participate in combat, why not take the Mounted Fury barbarian archetype for a mount? You can give your horse all of your teamwork feats with a horsemaster's saddle and then use the ferocious companion and amplified rage trick to boost your own stats. Your horse can just help in movement and lance charges without actually attacking anything.

@Chess Pwn: I missed that amplified rage is no combat feat, thanks for pointing it out. Going inquisitor isn't viable because, sadly, this game has houserules in effect that give reduced pointbuy for casting classes.

@Avoron: Mounts have problems in many surroundings. Space, obstacles etc.
