Bolt Ace (Gunslinger Archetype)

Rules Questions

Distracting Shot : At 7th level, a bolt ace can spend 1 grit point and choose to miss a target that she could normally attack within her range with a crossbow attack. When she does, the target loses its Dexterity bonus to AC (if any) for 1 round. This deed replaces startling shot.

Is this a Standard Action to perform, or an Attack Action?

If I have multiple attacks for high BAB +6/+1,
Does this miss only occur for the first attack?

Swashbuckler and Gunslinger deeds that do the same say standard action.

Scarab Sages

It may be intentionally intended to be stronger, given that crossbows are inferior weapons to the firearms that would be used with Startling Shot, which this replaces. Deeds that don't specify an action, like Deadeye or Expert Loading, are usually taken as part of another action or executed as a nonaction.

I would say that as written, if you had a BAB of +6/+1, you could intentionally miss with the first shot at +6 by spending a grit point and resolve the second attack at +1 normally with the opponent denied their Dex to AC.
