Maps - where do you get them, or how do you make them?

Advice

I've taken more of a shine to my own worlds, as opposed to pre-existing places. That being said, making the world map has always been the most difficult part. What do you folks use? I'm not terribly arty, so drawing my own is fairly out of the question. I usually just take bits and pieces of other places/games/random other maps, and marry them together into what I need.

I too am currently investigating how to build maps. Someone (forgot who but on the internets...) suggested to go to this link...

...and then build the "bones" of your dungeon. You then upload it to Roll20 and "dress" it up. With torches, blood marks, broken furniture, treasure chests, etc etc.

Oh! A Map of a whole world! Ach, my bad...

Dungeon making helps too. Though, I'm slightly better at the dungeons. A little bit of graph paper, and the knowledge that it's a lot more contained help. That link will come in handy, though, thanks.

Inkarnate is a really neat website I discovered recently. It has a great map making tool for world or area maps. I like that even as a beginner you can make an attractive map with its easy to use interface.
