"Delicious.."

Seriously tho, I am working on a Tegel Manor remake right now so I I have some spoopy ideas to throw at ya.

1) An undead Ravener dragon. Make the room so dim that it is hard to make out until they are close to it.That gave my players an "Oh shiiiii..." kinda feel.

2) Perhaps cheesy but leave micro lore that makes you "feel". I left a note in a room written by a mom to her newborn. In the letter she mentions a ring that will protect the child. The players eventually find a ghoul with a hole in her gut and in the next room is a bloody poem left for the baby and a ring of protection from evil. Made a player tear a bit...

"You walk into a stone chamber and you see blood pus and ichor strewn across every imaginable surface. Rusty torture implements, hooks, and picks lie on a table with the remains of a carcass so mutilated that it is hard to tell head nor tail of its features...

All of a sudden...you hear a loud thud and a bang as the door on the opposite side of the room swings open and slams against the wall. You see a hulking figure garbed in tattered rags, his head stooped low and his pale blue flesh bulging with grotesque physique, lumber into the room.

Clutched In his hands lies the dreaded artifact you and your friends have suffered for...and one has died for. An artifact horrendous and evil that IF its power were unleashed...ALL of humanity would be cast into an eternal darkness.....

In his hands....

In HIS HANDS..

Is a skeleton being dragged by its leg, playing its ribs like a xylophone.

It could be possible that this group is using a campaign style that is not for you.

I have a player that is just like you. At first I thought that he was being rude but then I quickly realized that he was merely interested in certain parts of my campaign. Namely getting into fights and causing trouble in the town I built.

So I switched up my style!

The first half of the session allows players to do what ever they want. Shop, pick fights, role play. Whatever! Each player would get about 10 minutes to do LITERALLY whatever they wanted. The player that I am talking bout loved this new style because he could surf the net while the other players were taking care of their errands, engage in his interests when it was his turn, and then help out the group for the second half of the session.

It seems to me that you do not need help but just need to join a campaign that is better suited towards your needs. I can tell that you are putting effort into improving your self (which is great!). But sometimes, you may find yourself in a campaign that doesn't work for you. And that is fine!

You do you fam!

Darigaaz has the right idea hahaha.

Cast on eternal flame onto an object, put it into the bag, and leave it there forever to consume oxygen. Proceed to terrorize the campaign.

As a GM with mischevious players....this would give me f****** nightmares...

I have a suggestion on how to make the "board" a more tangible experience...and the best part is that a teacher like you would appreciate it the most!! :)

Get a beat up, forsaken, ol' dry erase board or buy one; preferably one of a size that suits your needs and can be laid down on a table. Then, with an exacto-knife carve lines into the board to make a grid(measure before hand of course!).

Voila! You now have a versatile board that can become anything you can draw! Need a bar to destroy? Done! A giant dragon? Doodle it! And I am sure your students will love to bring their own miniatures and figurines!

Edit: I just saw this was suggested already! My players live the board because it keeps the pace of the game fluid without consuming a lot of prep time. XD

Oh! A Map of a whole world! Ach, my bad...

I too am currently investigating how to build maps. Someone (forgot who but on the internets...) suggested to go to this link...

http://pyromancers.com/dungeon-painter-online/

...and then build the "bones" of your dungeon. You then upload it to Roll20 and "dress" it up. With torches, blood marks, broken furniture, treasure chests, etc etc.

Actually, I scoured the net for a 3.5 adaptation before sinking time into reworking Tegels Manor.

Can I take your order sir?....BEFORE I SEND YOU TO HELL????

I was thinking about filling it with monsters that would fit in a haunted manor. I wasn't going to add story...let the DM make it goofy or spooky!

Or is that just a dead, beaten horse?

Hello everyone!

This should be my final upload concerning the RWBY Hunters class. It contains details on how to make Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang as playable characters in a 3.5 setting. I would greatly appreciate your constructive criticism.

Sure that's fair. Wizards get Fireball at level 5 and it is superior to this version(30ft blast radius with 5d6dmg) so the spellcasters of your group shouldn't feel cheated.

A dagger deals 1d4 dmg, crits on a natural 19-20 deal in x2 DMG. It is arguable that a ninja could throw a knife accurately up to 20-30 ft, because he is throwing the object you would apply your str modifier.

So the run down...

1) Spend ki to make paper bomb.
2)Wrap it around the handle.
3) Roll a hit check to throw dagger. If you hit, roll DMG for the dagger which is 1d4 DMG plus str modifier.
4) Explosion takes place after dagger impact. Roll damage per your level.
5)What if the dagger misses? Everyone or thing takes half damage if they are in the blast zone. Or none if they have "Evasion"

@Aralicia: Thank you for taking the time to reply to my post! I use insight from guys on the forum like you to refine what I am making; so you are a huge help! :)

-I totally forgot to do that, the Master Hunter Feat is next on my list followed by weapon design. It will probably be similar to the Rangers Final "Favored Enemy".

-You are right, the description for Weapon Proficiency can use a little polish..

-Would "Grimm Subtype" be limited to only evil aligned creatures or beasts? The show is ever developing and I thought I would leave this broad in case new types of Grimm were discovered or if the DM wanted to treat other evil aligned creatures as "Grimm".

-Would replacing the Bonus Features with a "Team Role" abillity improve game play? I figured that leaving a few bonus features would give flexibility to the player but you bring up an interesting idea!

Paper bomb Jutsu(Ex): With a whisper and swift hand movements, you can infuse a thin, blank, piece of paper with ki to scribe explosive kanji onto its surface as a standard action. The resulting explosion deals 1d6 points of fire damage to all objects within the blast radius of 15 ft per ki point. A ninja can increase the explosive power of the trap by infusing the paper with more ki; the Ninja may infuse an extra point of ki at levels 4, 6, 8, and 10. The devious trap can be placed on any surface that would normally take to an adhesive sticker. The explosive runes detonate when an object moves within 10ft of the trap.

You can always propose a means to gain more badgers that are outside of the rules to your DM. How many badgers do you think he will allow you to have? Is an "army" of badgers....like....10 badgers? Or perhaps you want....300 BADGERS dressed in traditional Spartan gear???????

lgt here!

As per the suggestions from the previous post, I have made an updated class for the huntsmen/huntresses found in the RoosterTeeth webseries "RWBY". Below is a link that leads to the document itself. Mind you, it is not completed yet...but it is getting there!

I would appreciate your constructive criticism and would like to thank you all for the advice that you gave me last time! Happy holidays!

@ Lemmy: Is it cool if I modify what you got a little? I think I can cook something up for Weiss.(Psst! Shes my favorite character btw!)

@ Lemmy: Would it be possible if I can ask you to work on the rest of Team RWBY's weapons? :3

@ Darth Grall and JonathonWilder: I was thinking about that, making this character was ALOT of work...

I can make class abilities that can fit into the Huntsman/Huntress class. That way the player has more control over the PC they build. I can then make a pre-built page that basically is an organized sheet with these stats and classes to offer a ready version of Ruby, Yang, Weiss, Blake if they player is feeling lazy.

I will see if I can pump something out as soon as my finals are over...

@ Andromaxx: You are absolutely right, I purposely built her to be OP to fit in a campaign that mainly consisted of other huntsman! :) I also assumed that this "class" would be edited and cut down to the GM's discretion.

However, I would like to make a more balanced Ruby that can fit in "normal" games...unfortunately I do not know how to make her balanced without taking away the things that make her special.

Would you say that the mechanic is fairly spot on but the stats are too OP? Or would simply removing a few feats fix the problem but leave the stats as they are?

The more I thought about it, reducing the amount of feats and curbing the stats a little should allow for more balanced play while increasing the "aura" pool should give the player more options.

Hello everyone!

I have made a character class for Ruby Rose; my intent was to mimic the format Paizo uses when detailing their core classes! Below is a link for your viewing pleasure...

I enjoy making new characters and mechanic for my games and thought I would share one of my favorite builds with you all! I would appreciate your constructive critique and insight.
