Do scatter weapons affect swarms like splash weapons do?
Is there a place where that is declared?

scatter
swarms

It can't affect fine/diminuitive swarms in any event as it is weapon damage, and there isn't anything to over-ride that immunity.

Against tiny swarms expect table variation. I can see the argument that it is an area effect, so it should affect them, but I would expect resistance because it isn't spelled out in those terms anywhere I can find. Maybe some other guru will have better luck.

If it does affect tiny+ swarms you will get a single attack with no precision damage doing +50% damage (as a swarm counts as a single creature).

I'd reccomend dragons breath rounds. 2d6 fire means it will do 3d6 fire to swarms. Use with scatter weapons.

Silver Crusade

I think the rules for Swarms were written before the firearm rules were, so it is arguable that a blunderbuss is an area of effect attack, just as alchemist fire is, but based upon the literal interpretation of RAW, only tiny swarms would be affected at all.

Was there ever a ruling that declared Diminutive or smaller swarms take any scatter attack damage?
