Closing a Location

Rules Questions and Gameplay Discussion

If we defeat a henchman but fail to close we're forced to explore everything right?

Generally, yes. I'm sure there are some specific cards, situations, or combos that can change that, but the vast majority of the time, you'll have to empty it.

You can explore elsewhere and see if you chase the villain to the now-henchmanless location. This can save you time if it works out.

Or just plan to temp close when you encounter the villain. Unless it's one of those tricksy "Close all locations" scenarios. Then you're stuck.
