Typically the way finding a game works is that you will look through the recruitment threads to find a Game Master who is looking to recruit players for their game. You will read their character creation guidelines and make a character to fit their campaign. This is because there are more players who want to be in games than available Game Masters, so it's a supply & demand thing.
