Outslug Style Stacking

So I was looking over the style feats from Weapon Master's Handbook and Outslug caught my eye as one that seemed particularly weak. Take a 5-foot step and get a little bonus? That's nice, but not worth the feat slots, and since it's tied to close weapons you can't dodge back and full attack with a reach weapon. Outslug Sprint even puts you out of range of Lunge, so you can't use it fully and still attack from a distance, and there's already feats for following people who 5-foot step away from you so using it to chase seems pointless.

But then I thought to myself "Self, you're being awfully hard on it. Maybe there's a use for it? That bonus to AC is a dodge bonus after all and those stack, and that bonus to damage is untyped. Does that stack?"

So, let's say I'm using an Advancing weapon, which gives me a second 5-foot step per turn. Would that allow me to trigger Outslug Style's bonus twice, giving me a +2 to AC and damage (or +4 with Outslug Weave)?

Bonuses from the same source don't stack unless it says they do.

Outslug Sprint looks pretty good for getting into reach of larger opponents and getting a full attack. A double 5-foot step combined with Lunge gives you an effectively 20-foot range, which will be more than enough to beat most reach enemies. And that little bonus is equal to or better than the Dodge feat, depending on how much you 5-foot step. Also, remember that Outslug Sprint gives you the option to step 10 feet, not the compulsion. Extra 5-foot step mobility sounds pretty awesome- it effectively doubles your movement speed every round, if you full attack a lot (and haven't invested in Pummeling Style).

I'd say the point of the feat chain is for fighting large size (or larger than large sized) creatures safely. 10' steps are a pretty nice thing to have when you're trying to maneuver around a colossal creature with reach and combat reflexes.

plus there are some pretty neat things this can combo with.
A Scout rogue's Skirmisher ability needs 10ft of movement to trigger it.
A fey blooded bloodrager's Blurring Movement needs 10ft of movement to give him blur.

A reach lunge user can 10ft back to attack with lunge and force an enemy to move through a threatened square again.

And I'm sure there are other things that can be found to trigger off of moving at least 10ft.

You could activate the strong arm, supple wrist trait if you've got a way to throw a close group weapon.

The Strong Arm Supple Wrist also requires 10' of moment.

The Wind Stance feat too.

@10'-step - The nicest thing is when you are fighting another medium/small creature with iterative attacks. As soon as he reaches you, you can take your full round action then 10' step away forcing him to use a move action to catch up thus having only the standard action left to attack with.

One could probably hold a non-close weapon in the other hand. And I think I saw something called 'Wusu Dart' on the Close Weapon Group list.

So it's not completely useless, that's good. Even if the uses are extremely small in number.

Still, not as good as it could have been if the bonuses stacked. Oh well.

Remember that Outslug Style is a combat feat, and like other combat feats can be Martial Maneuvered into. It's a good tool for a Brawler to pick up in fights against larger creatures.
