I am building my first PFS character and I think I want it to be a Air Kineticist. I would rather focus on long range and support, but I am a little lost on what I should build. This is what I have drafted so far and am looking for feedback. I am fine with being an average adventure - no reason to power game too much. I also don't have a lot of books: Only unchained and giant slayer 1/6 when I dm'ed a few home games. I am obviously looking to pick up a few books to make this character happen, but I am hesitate to grab a book for just one thing.
Race: Gnome (Not sure why I am stuck on it)
I have two stat blocks made up.
1 2
Str 8 9
Dex 16 14
Con 18 18
Int 10 12
Wis 10 12
Cha 12 12
Traits: Haven't looked at yet.
Level 1:
Kinetic Blast: Air
Infusion: Gusting Infusion
Feat: Point-Blank Shot
Level 2:
WT: Air's Reach
Level 3:
Feat: Precise Shot
Infusion: Extended Range
Level 4
WT: Air Cushion or Air's Leap - any suggestions
Level 5
Feat: Toughness
Infusion: Pushing or Kinetic Blade - I can't decide which one or something else
Level 6
WT: Wings of Air
Level 7
Feat: Weapon Focus(Kinetic Blast)
Expanded Element - Air
Blast - Electric --> Thunderstorm
Level 8
WT: Celerity
Level 9
Feat: Unsure maybe Extra WT(Magnetic)
Infusion: Snake
Level 10
WT: Engulfing Winds
Level 11
Feat: Extra WT (Wall or Cyclone)
Infusion: Chain
Right now I am more concerned about the first 6 levels or so until Wings of Air. After that is more of an after thought and I have no experience with high level play so I wasn't sure what to look for.

Overall, it looks pretty good. First stat block would be better IMO. With Air Cushion vs air's leap, its just a matter of preference. I'd go for the free feather fall; while mario jumps could be nice, feather fall is very nice to have when you need it.
BTW, you can't get Magnetic with Extra WT at 9. Extra Wild Talent says you have to take a talent that's 4 levels lower than what you can get, or 2 spell levels lower. This means at nine you can only get a 2nd level or lower.

I concur with TS. The first set of stats is really where you want to be, especially with a physical blast at lower levels. You're never really going to be a skill monkey, so the extra Int is not really necessary. Now, I might suggest dropping your Cha down to 10 so that you can keep you Wis at 12. That Wisdom bonus to your Will save is golden.
I also agree with Air Cushion over Leap. I can't see too many times where making a massive jump would save you over potentially falling to your death or into a conjured Pit...

What extra infusion/wild talent are you taking at level 7 since you are going Air/Air? Remember that if you don't branch out you get an extra infusion/wild talent:
If the kineticist chooses to expand her understanding of an element she already has, she gains an additional utility wild talent or infusion of her choice from that element, as if from her infusion or wild talent class feature, as appropriate.
If you haven't picked one I recommend Snake at that point.
