Skald multiclass options

Advice

I'm just about to hit lvl 5 in my current game and so far I've been having a lot of fun with my Suli Totemic War Drummer Skald. I know that I plan on mutliclassing with this character as all the options above lvl 17 seem rather weak (the only loss in my eyes is the extra +1 to damage from Deadly Rhythm as its unlikely I'm ever to reach the capstone 'Master Skald' ability. But I cant decide on an Multiclass option I'm happy with.

Sorcerer and Bloodrager give me bloodline powers that all seem to have a lot of fun options. The drawbacks being that Sorcerer only gives me a d6 HD, but access to spells earlier, whereas Bloodrager only grants me spells on my 4th level.

Oracle gives me a load of options and works within the flavour of my character, the drawback is the oracles curse hurts other parts of the character.

Cavalier is a decent option, but a lot of the Paizo designed orders seem to go against what I'm going for (My character is the daughter of the head of a viking tribe and basically has been a raid leader for years prior to the current story)

Anyone got any recommendations for either one of these options or even a non caster (Low Wis/Low Int scores) option?

You seemed to favor the Oracle, but didn't like the curses?

There are quite a lot to choose from, so you should be able to find atleast ONE that isn't extremely crippling.

Or is it that the whole curses part don't fit your character concept?

Here are two curses that don't affect your physical state or are expressed as penalties.

Haunted:
Malevolent spirits follow you wherever you go, causing minor mishaps and strange occurrences (such as unexpected breezes, small objects moving on their own, and faint noises).
Retrieving any stored item from your gear requires a standard action, unless it would normally take longer. Any item you drop lands 10 feet away from you in a random direction. Add mage hand and ghost sound to your list of spells known.

The drawback is kind of situational, but if you don't rely on wands/scrolls/potions it should be neglectable. Note that this doesn't affect your ability to draw a weapon.

Tongues:
In times of stress or unease, you speak in tongues.
Pick one of the following languages: Abyssal, Aklo, Aquan, Auran, Celestial, Ignan, Infernal, or Terran.

Whenever you are in combat, you can only speak and understand the selected language. This does not interfere with spellcasting, but it does apply to spells that are language dependent. You gain the selected language as a bonus language.

In most cases, this isn't a real drawback. If your allies share the language they can understand you, and it leaves much room for flavor. You could explain it as if the strong beat from your drum forces you into a trance during battle; revealing mysteries with your upbringing/bloodline/birth you earlier didn't know about.

I cant believe I overlooked Summoner, thought it was an Int based caster. Hmm, well Eidelons can benefit from Raging song, so thats a bonus even if I dont get many evolution points for it.

The problem with multicasting is it really weakens the character especially spell casters. You have already invested 4 levels in Skald so this is more than a dip. Any spell casting class will now be 4 levels behind in spells and class abilities. Each level of spells are significantly more powerful than the last. It may seem like having twice the number of second level spells is as good as having third level spells but it is really not the case.

If you really want to multiclass you may want to look into Dragon Disciple. You get the Draconic bloodline and some extra stats and abilities. It also increases your existing spell casting so you would progress as a Skald instead of diluting your spell casting. Turning into a dragon just seems appropriate for a Viking based character. You don’t even have to take all the levels take as few or as many as you want.

The Dragon disciple option actually works pretty well. I'm only looking for a a 4 level dip at most, and Dragon Disciple will at give me spells known and spells per day of a lvl 19, whilst also giving me a +4 to STR and +2 to AC that would be beneficial to a club wielding skald.

multiclassing into Barbarian or bloodrager for the higher bonuses on your inspire rage ability is pretty insane -- If you pick up Skald's Vigor it works even better, getting you access to fast healing equal to your rage bonuses when you're using your inspired rage song. picking up a few Extra Performances could be pretty valuable, since the skald and barbarian don't really need much for feats as they get all of their power from the class abilities and rage powers.

I think what I'll do is go Skald 6/Dragon Disciple 2/Skald 2/Dragon Disciple 2/Skald 8. It gives ME a +2 STR/+1 AC boost at the same point that I would have the +4 STR/CON/DEX from the raging song (Tiger focus from Totemic Skald). Sure it ofsets some of the Skald abilities, but it does give me the DD bonuses earlier without my aliies suffering around lvl 10 without the +4 for Raging Song

I wouldn't dip DD until your level 7 or 8.

You want 3rd level spells. You want your Song to be a move action.

I feel if you wait till 8 you will be very satisfied. Getting a higher raging bonus helps you accomplish your melee goals
