Woah am I reading the Sanctified slayer inquisitor right??

Advice

I'm doing a archer inquisitor and I just discovered Enfilading fire maneuvers...am i reading it correct in that it basically gives me improved precise shot at level 3!? (since allies with the feat cannot give soft cover to a opponent!?) Also at level 8 I could pick up the rogue combat trick ability and get either manyshot or clustered shot at level 8?

Enfilading Fire does not say anything about removing soft cover penalties.

At level 8, a Sanctified Slayer can choose a Slayer Talent, one of which could be one from the list of Rogue Talents available to Slayers. Yes, he could choose Combat Trick.

If Combat Trick is selected, and you meet the prerequisites, you can use Combat Trick to select Many Shot (Dex 17, Point-Blank Shot, Rapid Shot, base attack bonus +6) or Clustered Shot ( Point-Blank Shot, Precise Shot, base attack bonus +6).

Sorry mixed it up, the feat is called friendly fire maneuvers

It seems to be worded that way in the fluff, but it does not specifically say that it removes the cover penalty.

Also, according to the information about the feats in general, you cannot "force" someone to take a betrayal feat in order to benefit from it- they both need to purchase the feat separately.

I think ekibus meant This.

Yes, this feat does prevent allies who possess it from providing soft cover to enemies, but only if you and your ally have it.

With solo tactics this does seem to function to prevent soft cover from your allies, but not from obstacles or other sources of soft cover.

Since the Inquisitor treats the ally as having the feat, then yes, it would work to remove the soft cover from allies, as Covent said. You would still want Imp Precise shot later, to remove all other cover penalties.

There's also Deadeye Bowman...a trait. Only longbow's and any single creature, but still decent.

Agreed with the soft cover from other things (until i can get seeking) I actually do have deadeye bowman atm... I'll probably just keep that but man that is a feat I wish I knew about before... Along with that extra feat I'm really thinking the inquisitor is a pretty nice archer. Oh Falxu it isn't a betrayal feat. If nothing else I'll keep it as a possible switch feat...but with the deadeye bowman might mot be as needed. Wish I went with another god and had the tactics domain now though

I just happened to also level up my sanctified slayer. He is an archer build. And, yes, that team work feat--along with seeking--will be fun this weekend at UCon.

Well it is from a Player Companion so the wording is odd.

Quote:

From Betrayal Feats:
Characters with class abilities granting allies access to teamwork feats (such as cavaliers or inquisitors) can select these teamwork feats normally, but allies who are granted these feats can use the feats only as initiators, not as abettors. An inquisitor could not grant an ally the Ally Shield feat and then use the ally as a shield, for example, but he could allow that ally to use him as a shield.

Solo Tactics (Ex)

At 3rd level, all of the inquisitor’s allies are treated as if they possessed the same teamwork feats as the inquisitor for the purpose of determining whether the inquisitor receives a bonus from her teamwork feats. Her allies do not receive any bonuses from these feats unless they actually possess the feats themselves. The allies’ positioning and actions must still meet the prerequisites listed in the teamwork feat for the inquisitor to receive the listed bonus.

The intent is probably that you can only be the Abettor with solo tactics, but the RAW of it seems to disagree.
