If you have the Moment of Clarity rage power then you're golden. Moment of Clarity removes all benefits and penalties from a rage, and Mad Magic restores the benefits. I guess it does cost you your swift action every round, though.
So it'll have to be a 2-level Barbarian dip instead of 1, and there'll need to be a way to rage cycle, and extra rage rounds.

....then what is the point?
You are removing the benefits whenever you use your blast, but you wanted the benefits in order to boost your blast, didn't you?
The barbarian/oracle thing works because the oracle is usally throwing on buffs/debuffs when it does the moment of clarity, and then it goes right back to full rage so it can do melee. That doesn't seem like it works with kinetcist, whose whole shtick is a spell like ability.

Did you not read the part where he said "Mad Magic restores the benefits."
Yes, I understand that perfectly well. But I was commenting on the fact that the comment was said about moment of clarity, which is only the first of three things you need for mad magic if you aren't using blood rage(it is the prereq of perfect clarity, which is prereq of mad magic).
I was commenting on the idea that it sounded like Dasrak was implying 'you just need moment of clarity' (as reinforced by the fact that he mentions the loss of benefits, which would not come up with mad magic).
I understand perfectly well what mad magic does. I was commenting that you NEED mad magic in order to make moment of clarity worth ANYTHING WHATSOEVER as a kineticist, unlike most characters that would use mad magic.
So you either throw two levels and two feats, or four levels and a feat. And honestly thinking about it.... it doesn't quite seem entirely worth it, since you get better scaling benefits from continuing kineticist levels most of the time.
