Cool Wizard Concepts

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Dark Archive

Hello! Just wondering about some of your best wizard concepts! For example, I have a mid-level wizard whose concept is sort of like I barbarian/wizard combo, just without the actual barbarian levels.
I haven't fully built him, but he has stuff like dragon breath, form of the dragon, and other dragon related things, though I'm not sure what spells would do that other than the two listed. He is easy to anger and is much more direct when angered. Otherwise he is a normal wizard, paranoid and standing in back. He actually has a decent charisma and points in intimidate, as well as the interrogation spell. Maybe I should eventually get levels in barbarian, but I'm still building him, and I want all the spells I can get.
What concepts have you guys made work? Were they very fun or more optimized? I'd like to hear some!

2 people marked this as a favorite.

The laziest wizard ever. Halfling with an earth elemental in the shape of an easy chair. It carries the halflimg around at all times.

A baron Harkonnen styled wizard who rides around on a Tenser's disk, casting fear spells and blinding people with his hideousness

I really want to make a wizard who thinks he's a druid. Wood Elemental School, Forest's Blessing, and takes the Collegiate Arcanist prestige class.

Sadly I dont play wizards.... i got.sorcerer and arcanist.idea tho..

To be a Barbarian/Wizard, take Mad Magic and use Bloodrager instead of Barbarian.

Prestige into Bloatmage for maximum gross.

Be a half orc and use hand of the apprentice with a great axe.

We had a player in our local PFS that made a Thassilonian enchanter/bloatmage. He was very fat, and had a "wheelchair" which I believe was boots of levitation combined with an unseen servant. He only spoke Thassilonian, and his raven familiar translated. Name was "Wadda."

Odd guy, but fun.
