What are the best 3pp APs out there? I played part of WotW and really liked it and was wondering what else is out there.

WotW?

Way of the Wicked.

There is this, but the kickstarter has ended...

I think that ENworld publishing is in the middle of one and might have published another? Someone else with more knowledge than me can provide information on them.

Oh right. Well, you hit on the only one I know of. Legendary Games is working on one, I think. Frog God has some mega-adventures, so I'm not sure if that counts for your purposes.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Also Rise of the Drow by Adventure a Week games. If you include the Prologue, the main AP, and the Epilogue it takes you from level 1 to level 20.

You can by it here at Paizo, look under AAW in the store.

Also the one that ericthecleric mentioned has finished the kickstarter. The prequel (level 1-2) is out as well as the players guide. Chapter 1 (level 2-5?) is due out any day now. This AP is also level 1 - level 20, by Legendary Games.

I backed Legendary Planet but am concerned we might run out of material before the next few books are released.

Zeitgeist by EN Publishing gets rave reviews by a lot of folk. It is a 1-20 AP involving Victorianesque Steampunk, conspiracies, and investigation-style roleplay and encounters as the PCs start out as law enforcement agents.

Currently it is undone, with 10 out of the 13 planned adventures released.

Slumbering Tsar.

If you have Slumbering Tsar mentioned then you must have Rappan Athuk for Pathfinder too. Also, the Kickstarter for The Lost Lands: Northlands Saga is ongoing here. It combines the 4 Northlands Saga modules with either 10 or 14 new modules and a Gazetteer all in one volume.

Way of the Wicked. Epic as hell :)

Grand Lodge

"Rappan Athuk" is awesome for a massive sandbox. I also enjoy "Sword of Air".

Northlands Saga by FGG is said to be great. ( kickstarter currently ongoing)

See the old 3pp AP thread for a very extensive list of 3pp AP and mega adventures and adventure series. There is a lot of excellent stuff out there.

Zeitgeist got rave reviews, Razor Coast got a more mixed reception between gushing praise and some criticism. 0one games Road to Revolution is probably the best supported one.
And you can't beat FGG for sandboxy old school stuff.

Last year's AaWBlog Adventure Path takes the PCs from the wastes of the Disputed Territories to Steamtown in Pradjna, then Nyamo in the magic technocracy of Timaeus, then the psionic plane of Uklonjen, then the 2-D Lands of Ludolog (so cool) before finally returning to a further flung region of the Disputed Territories to wage war with four armies of undead.
I'd start here and work forward chronologically. All told it should take a party from levels 4-5 up through 11-12.

This year's AaWBlog Adventure Path is still underway and begins in the riverside town of Drak'kal, treks across the Klavek Kingdom to the leper town of Enixam, through the dregs of the capital of Mohkba, into a pocket of the Plane of Earth where the Shlyappa zwerc enclave dwells, out into the demonic marshes of the Vast Swamp, and right now in Alucinar, the Plane of Dreams.
That starts at 3rd level and I think we're ending it around 11th or 12th level, though that won't be until November. This is a good spot to pick up on that story.

Note that the AaWBlog is free and has a format: Monday—magic item, Tuesday—trap, Wednesday—haunt/cursed item, Thursday—story locale (sometimes GM article), Friday—plot/fiction, Saturday—sidequest, Sunday—monster.

Try Frog God games they have several excellent AP's. Slumbering Tsar, Razor Coast, Sword of Air, Cult of the Sundered kingdoms, Rappen Athuk, Cyclopean deeps, Lost city of Barakus and Stone heart Valley which are all currently out they are working on the Northlands and the Blight. Northlands is currently being made available on a kickstarter and The blight is their next offering after Northlands.

If you are into old school, FGG is the best! More of a sandbox than AP, but definitely a meat grinder from start to finish. Some of the best designers in the biz!

Shadow Lodge

Definitely give Total Party Kill Games adventures a try. The Reaping Stone, Bleeding Hollow and Fen of the Five-Fold Maw will all play consecutively and are a lot of fun. It's sort of a badge of honor to complete them.
