The Anti Oradin

Advice

My friend is hosting a evil campaign for fun and i've always wanted to play as an Oradin but because of the evil aspect of the campaign I cannot play a Paladin.

So why not a Antipaladin.

I've been using this guide as a reference but ive ran into a problem.

If i'm using the life link revelation and if im low on health i cant fall back on using Lay On Hands as a Swift Action.

Can anyone else think of other options that i can use to emergency heal to replace my lack of Lay on hands?

Have you considered taking Dhampir as your race? Then you would be able to heal yourself with your Touch of Corruption.

Take the Life-Dominant Soul feat as well if you want others to be able to heal you without taking extraordinary measures to do so.

I thought about it but the problems comes to not being able to use Touch of Corruption as a swift action.

Are their any main spells or feats that can help healing. Due to the fact swift action healing is out of the picture.

I don't think so. if there were you'd see a lot more talk of them and more options than the oradin for the oradin thing. As that would make that option plus oracle basically as good as the oradin.

Yea i figure as much. In the evil campaign im probably still going to go anti oradin but find other ways to heal myself even if i have to skip a turn using cure wounds.

Shame.

Ah, I missed the no swift action for Touch of Corruption part -- I assumed that an antipaladin was the mirror image of a paladin in that regard.

In that case -- does your campaign require evil characters, or is non-good sufficient? If you can be neutral with regard to good and evil, you could replace the paladin levels with warpriest levels and still heal yourself as a swift action. Of course, your BAB will suck if you are not careful about how you build this character.

Ask your GM if he can house rule ToC as a swift to use on yourself.

The problem with warpriest it requires a good WIS modifier to use Fervor.

Yea i can ask due to the fact Anti paladins should be a mirror of a Paladin.

The over all problem i have if he turns down that rule i dont know what quite to play in an evil campaign. I usually CN or CG character never much of an evil player.

There´s a feat called necromantic affinity that changes how positive and negative energy work for you. Since you can channel energy from level 4 on, that´s pretty cool not only for touch of corruption.

Shaman+Warpriest can do a passable Wisdom based Oradin. Maybe Unsworn Shaman or Witch Doctor.

Oh that helps, and its a feat that doesnt require me to be a Dhampire.

If i can convince to may ToC swift i dont see a problem.

Although having Positive Energy Hurt i wonder how many of my oracle abilities would end up hurting me.
