Nonlethal damage with bite attack?

Rules Questions

Hi, everyone. I'm building a Tiefling with a bite natural attack (maw alternate racial trait). My intention is to use it to make Demoralize checks as free actions thanks to the Enforcer feat.

For the feat to work, the attack has to deal nonlethal damage with a melee weapon. Natural attacks are melee weapons, and if I take a -4 to hit I can deal nonlethal damage everytime I use the bite attack, am I correct?

Also, the damage type for a bite natural attack is listed as B/S/P. Since it includes bludgeoning, does this mean I can take the bludgeoner feat to make nonlethal bite attacks without the -4 to hit?

Thanks a lot in advance for your input!

Yes you can deal non-lethal with a Bite Attack and yes as long as the Bite Attack was Bludgeoning you could use the feat to reduce the penalty.

If you go natural attacks and/or unarmed strikes all the way a Merciful AoMF can be a decent option

Thanks for the answers! The merciful AoMF suggestion gave me an idea to turn my build into a natural attack one with the Tusked trait, actually.

If I'm not mistaken a tiefling can start with 2 claws and bite without using traits

You're thinking of the alternate racial "Maw or Claw." As the name suggests it's one or the other: A bite or x2 claws. Tusked trait with the claw option, as OP already mentioned, is the best you can get.

Tengu can start with bite/claw/claw though without spending a trait, but their stat adjustments can be iffy.

Tusked trait with the claw option is what I'm thinking about indeed (since tengu is no good for my concept).
