Hi all, I'm very new to pathfinder and playing in general. I have made my first character called Ragnarok Thotar who is a level 1 half orc bloodrager. I'm unsure what feats etc to take as we progress. He has scale armour ( which was taken from a lizard man who attacked him, so he skinned him to make armour) an orcish double ended axe (gifted from his father and a sign of status within his clan) and lots of trinkets and fetishes taken from worthy kills. I just don't know how to progress him naturally and organically. All help and advice welcome and appreciated!

Alright:
1. You are gonna be pretty useless at trying to use both ends of your double-edge axe simultaneously. So forget two-weapon fighting. For this reason... you probably want to use it two-handed. Maybe you can enchant both ends differently, like, one end has +1 keen and the other end has +1 ghost touch, and you just use the end you need in each fight.
2. Having 10 DEX... you may want to look at the Steelblood archetype. Heavy Armor Proficiency could be useful for your character. That being said, I like the vanilla Bloodrager better, but you need 14 DEX to have a more respectable AC while wearing Chain Mail. I don't know how your group handles stats, but I do recommend that you take off from CHA and put into DEX. This is NOT a dealbreaker though, you have DR to protect you when AC fails and tons of HP.
3. Here's a feat progression:
- 1. Power Attack. Best feat there is.
- 3. Raging Vitality. Because dying just because you dropped out of rage sucks. Also more HP yey.
- 5. Furious Focus. Help you be more accurate when Power Attacking once per round.
- 7. Steadfast Personality. Add your CHA bonus rather than your WIS bonus to mind-affecting Will saves, aka the dangerous ones. Goes a long way to prevent you from killing your whole party.
- 9. Improved Critical. You are gonna need to commit to a weapon at this level, but this is honestly the second best damage feat out there (behind Power Attack)
- 11. Critical Focus. Third best damage feat out there.
Btw, if you can get your WIS to 13, you can qualify for a feat that gives you Scent. It's pretty neat.

CHA and STR too high. WIS and INT are important for Bloodragers, should at least be 10. DEX and CON should be ideally 14 each, with CON being at best 15 for Raging Vitality and DEX being at best 16 for full AC while using a Breastplate. You don't NEED STR and CHA that high to be functional. A bloodrager can do more than well with 14 CHA and 18 STR, hell, even 12 CHA is good. Just avoid using spells with DCs. You are never going to be good at those anyway.
But this is from an optimization standpoint, you can ignore if you feel like doing a specific concept.

You want wisdom at a 10 so you don't take a penalty to you Will save. In general, failing a Will save will either take you out of combat or give you some sort of penalty. Low level examples would include Sleep spell, Doom spell, Glitterdust spell.
You want a 15 Con no later than 4th level (the first time you increase an attribute) so you can get Raging Vitality by no later than 5th level. It will likely save your character's life. Otherwise if you go unconscious while raging you will suddenly lose all the hit point you got from raging (10 at 5th level) and likely die.
The two feats that every Bloodrager should take are Power Attack and Raging Vitality.

It's all about looking at the class chassis.
If, for example, I see a Slayer, I see they have 6 + INT skills per level, a focus on DEX-based class skills, and no MANDATORY features that require high INT, so I wouldn't feel bad about dumping INT to 8.
Similarly, when I see a Bard, I see they have good Will saves, so I don't feel bad about dumping WIS to 8.
When I see a Bloodrager, I see they have 4 + INT skills per level (which is neutral), so I would feel a little bad for dumping INT. On the other hand, I also see they have BAD Will saves (though Bloodrage helps a bit), so I would feel pretty s#$~ty for dumping WIS.
So whatever you do, know that dumping INT will harm your ability to interact outside combat and dumping WIS will make you more vulnerable to the worst spells.

I don't need to really interact much out of combat. We have someone who is the face of the party but they didn't have much in the way of combat so I thought I would go down the big dumb no class combat route. I will definitely increase my dex and con, maybe my will too but intelegence is probably going to be my dump stat
