Investigator need help

Advice

Hi, this weekend I'll be playing a new campaign and my first investigator (2nd Pathfinder char overall).
Could you take a look at my stats, talents, feats, traits and give me some feedback & advices?

Investigator, tiefling +scaled Skin + Tail

Stats (Racial included)
Str 10
Dex 17
Con 12
Int 16
Wis 12
Cha 6

As weapon I'll use a rapier or a sword cane (mostly for style).

Feats & Talents
1F Weapon Finesse
3F Mystic Weapon Finesse
3T Infusion or Mutagene
5F Weapon Focus
5T Quick Study
7F thought about Potion Gluttony, but I'wont worship Urgathoa. Probably Weapon Versatility
7T Sickening Offensive
9F Extra Talent: Mutagen or Infusion
9T Combat Inspiration
11F Combat Reflexes
11T Expanded Inspiration
13F Weapon Versatility
13T Tenacious Inspiration

Afterwards I'm not sure how to continue, extend & eternal Potion look quite promissing & greater combat inspiration aswell. Will extend & eternal Potion affect my extrakts or will they only work with potions crafted with Craft: Alchemy?

As traits I choose student of philosophy & accelerated drinker.

Thanks

Shaffi

Mystic Weapon Finesse? Do you mean Mythic? If so be warned that that's only available to mythic characters. If not, what is that from?

What level are you starting at? You're going to be pretty poor at stabbing people until ~7th level as written. If stabbing people early on is important you might want to rethink.

Extend/eternal potion affects potions created via brew potion, not alchemical items created via Craft: alchemy or extracts.

My gm told me, that I could use mythic weapon finesse. Originally I'd take Weapon Finesse, Focus and Slashing Grace.

Starting level is 1 and I'll be fighting with a witch, a fighter, a bard and a paladin.

Do you have a suggestion for early stabbing ? :)

Mythic weapon finesse (& a +dex mutagen) will help with stabbing then. You're not likely to have spare extracts to give your friends at 3rd level anyway. I was going to recommend slashing or fencing grace assuming the mythic feat was an error, but you won't be needing them.

I'll tell him about mystic weapon finesse, otherwise I wont feel good about it.

Is there any difference between slashing & fencing grace?

Fencing grace applies to a rapier, slashing grace to any one-handed slashing weapon, and the latter makes class features/feats applying only to 1H piercing weapons (you don't have any) apply to your slashing weapon also. If you need to get either you might consider a 1 level dip in the inspired blade archetype of the swashbuckler to get the prereq feats fast, and to get the opportune parry & riposte deed.

BTW, mythic not mystic!

Sorry my bad, english isnt my native speak.

Thanks a lot for your advice.

First level Fencing Grace.

Focus on dex and take mutagen and quick study @ 5.

Mutagen + cats grace + reduce person= +10 dex, +2 NA, +1 size bonus to hit and to AC. At level 5...it is a huge combat boost.

Basically you will be boss hog with insane amount of skills and an insane dex to do damage with. Let's not forget parry and ripose option for combat and to mix of inspiration and daring do for skill boosting.

You can also work in potion glutton by freeing up so many feats.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Since I've never done multiclassing, will my progression look like this?

1F Fencing Grace
1 Weapon Focus Rapier
1 Weapon Finesse
1 Inspired Panache
3F Weapon Versatility
4T Infusion or Mutagene
5F Extra Talent Quick Study
6T Infusion
7F Combat Reflexes
8T Sickening Offensive
9F
10T Combat Inspiration
11F 12T Expanded Inspiration
13F Weapon Versatility
14T Tenacious Inspiration

The Number include the level of the inspired blade.

And is it worth to lose true inspiration ?

Most campaigns never go to level 20 so unless your told your going 1-20 I wouldn't consider it a loss.

Don't think you need 2 weapon versatility feats.

I'd personally take mutagen over infusion at level 4 because you only have 1st level alchemy. Not much to be sharing that 50g can't buy.
