I'm working on a half-elf fighter born in an area contested between Nirmathas and Molthune, but who identifies as Molthuni.
The problem is I'm not sure how Molthuni/Nirmathi naming conventions differ from those of Cheliax, their parent nation. Cheliax apparently utilizes Italian-sounding names, with the occasional throwback to Latin that's more commonly found in Taldan names. Then there's the added complication of his elven parentage, whom I've decided is his father, and who probably named him.
I've already actually picked his first name, Orendel, which felt suitably elven without being blatant (it's a cognate of Earendel, an obscure figure from Germanic myth whose name was popularized by Tolkien when he used it for an important character in The Silmarillion). I'm just not sure what to use for a last name.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance! :)

Honestly, he's in no position for cultural posturing. He's a "deserter" from the army (he was left for dead after a battle where the rest of his unit was wiped out) stuck in Varisia and looking for work.
Von Hohenstaufen? Isn't that the name of a line of Holy Roman Emperors?

Molthune is Golarion's Prussia, so if German names fit anywhere in the setting, it's Molthune. You could go with any other cool sounding German name, there's something alluring about a long haired mysterious elven swordsman named Siegfried Sturmdrang who wields a massive zweihander whom he refers to as 'Charlotte'...

Jandalf
-Because why not
(From Gandalf, which was basically wand-elf in Old Norse. Remember to invest heavily into UMD.)
Interesting...Orendel Jandalf...Orendel Jandalf...flows okay. I'll keep it in mind! Thanks! :)
