Okay, I've been wanting to try making a few things beyond simple magic items, and so I've tried my hand at a sorcerer bloodline. Please take a look and give me some input.

Uchiha Bloodline

A member of the Uchiha clan of shinobi, you are particularly skilled at fire spells, and perhaps one day will awaken the Sharingan.

Class Skill:Perception

Bonus Spells:
Heightened Awareness (3rd) Dispel Magic (Counterspell only)(5th) Suggestion(7th) Phantasmal Killer(9th) Spellsteal (11th) Flame Strike (13th) Project Image(15th) Frightful Aspect(17th) Dominate Monster(19th)

Bonus Feats:

Bloodline Arcana : The Uchiha are particularly skilled at the use of Fire spells. Anytime you cast a spell with the Fire descriptor, you deal +1 damage per die rolled.

1st Eye of Insight: You gain Martial Flexibility as a Brawler of your level. You must have seen someone use the ability you wish to gain. Your level only contributes to the number of uses per day you gain, in all other ways you are treated as a 1st level Brawler. This stacks with other Martial Flexibility features.

3rd Copy Wheel Eye: You have learned how to copy spells used by others. When you witness someone cast a spell, you may make a spellcraft check to identify the spell. Success means you are able to learn the spell, storing it in an open spell slot. If you have the option of replacing one of your spells known, you may instead replace the old spell with the copied spell.

9th Mangekyou Sharingan: Your sharingan evolves, granting you greater ability to predict your opponent’s moves. You gain a +1 insight bonus to attack rolls, AC, and Reflex saving throws, +1 per four levels to a maximum of +3 at 17th level. You can use this ability for 1 round per level a day.

15th

20th

To go along with it, Phantasmal Killer is Tsukiyomi, Flame Strike is Amateratsu, and Frightful Aspect is Susanoo.

I'm a little worried that the 3rd and 9th level abilities are a little underwhelming. Normally, Martial Flexibility takes up most of your bloodline powers when you're an Eldritch Scrapper, but I am giving them a weakened version of that ability. Any advice?

Silver Crusade

What, no one has any suggestions?

Grand Lodge

I think it would be better as a Archtype of the Magues then for the Soc.

I think that you should make the ninth level bonus more powerful, but give it a downside.

Giving a big class feature like martial flexibility as a bloodline power is way too much

Silver Crusade

Even when it's the watered down version they get? It doesn't improve at all, no multiple feats, things like that, that the Eldritch Scrapper gets.

Dark Archive

Hello. Have you finished this Bloodline???

A few mechanical questions/difficulties:

Your 3rd level power doesn't say what kind of action it is and your 9th level one doesn't state the action AND doesn't clarify at what point in the round you need to state that you are going to use it.
Also, what's with the "Dispel Magic (Counterspell only)"? There are no precedents in the system for learning only part of a spell. What if the sorc wants to learn dispel magic as a normal spell? Does it still cost a full spell known?

Dark Archive

I'd like to use this in my homebrew Eastern-themed campaign.

I feel like permanent abilities would be a better choice. Detect magic, alignment, and darkvision evolving into blindsight and see in darkness and truesight, even all around vision.

Basically make this the sorcerer (I actually do agree more archetype of magus, but we'll say sorcerer since that's where we are now) that sees everything, every little trick they could pull.

Granting an x/day use of a feat or spell you see in use is neat, but a sorcerer will usually fail to use a martial feat effectively and most thematic enemies are somewhat protected from their own spells (fire sorcerer with resist fire up). It's cool, but I don't know if I'd say it'll be used often. Scaling bonuses to AC are nice, but for unique flavor try using Perception rolls as AC, like snake style uses Sense Motive.

Martial Flexibility doesn't seem to mesh well with the sorcerer's low BAB. Perhaps, when conceiving ideas for this idea, you could focus less on the taijutsu aspect and more on the ninjutsu and genjutsu aspects. I would LOVE to see this as a bloodline for both sorcs and bloodragers, btw. Uchiha are known to have mean tempers.

That sounds more like the Hyuga bloodline.

What about Plane Shift for Kamui?

I came up with a similar concept a couple of months ago:

Uchiha Bloodline

Class Skill: Perception

Bonus Spells: Burning Hands (3rd), Fiery Shuriken (5th), Fireball (7th), Phantasmal Killer (9th), Phantasmal Web (11th), Contingency (13th), Maddening Oubliette (15th), Moment of Prescience (17th), Meteor Swarm (19th)

Bonus Feats: Arcane Strike, Dodge, Elemental Focus: Fire, Greater Elemental Focus: Fire, Improved Initiative, Lightning Reflexes, Mobility, Skill Focus: Perception

Bloodline Arcana: You gain proficiency with the wakizachi, shuriken and kunai. You gain +1 to hit with these weapons for every 5 levels you possess, to a maximum of +4 at level 20.

Bloodline Powers:

Mastery over Fire (Su): At 1st level, you can change the shape of a fire spell as you cast. You can cause one square that would be affected by the spell to be unaffected. Alternatively you can choose one additional square to affect. This square must be adjacent to a square affected by the spell. Using this ability is a swift action that you can perform a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Charisma modifier.

Sharingan (Su): At 3rd level, you can cause a creature to freeze in place with merely a glance. Choose one creature within 30 feet that can see you clearly. The target must make a Will save (DC 10 + 1/2 your sorcerer level + your Charisma modifier) or be paralyzed as you assault their mind with the raw power of your Sharingan. Treat this effect as hold person. You can use this ability once per day at 3rd level and one additional time per day for every four sorcerer levels you possess beyond 3rd, up to five times per day at 19th level.

Susanoo (Su): At 9th level, you can manifest Susanoo as a standard action. Susanoo appears as a shell of force around you, protecting you from harm. While active your size increases by one step and you gain DR/adamantine equal to 1/3 your sorcerer level. Susanoo has a number of hit points equal to three times your sorcerer level - while this effect is active treat these points as temporary hit points. Susanoo's hit points are refreshed when you prepare spells. If Susanoo's hit points reach zero then this effect immediately ends and you cannot use this ability until you prepare spells again. Susanoo moves with you and does not block line of effect or line of sight. You can use this ability for a number of rounds per day equal to your sorcerer level.

One Step Ahead (Ex): At level 15, you can use the mythic ability Mirror Dodge once per day without expending any mythic points. At level 19 you gain another use of this ability. Alternatively you can ask your GM to design a bloodline power specific to your Sharingan.

Rinnegan (Ex): At level 20, you reach the pinnacle of Uchiha power. You gain permanent true seeing and blindsight 60 feet. Once per day you can cast time stop as a spell-like ability.
