Mad Max Flamethrower Guitar - for a bard?

I want that guitar for a bard. Or something like that, really. I figured I'd just go with a flaming/flaming burst weapon. But it has to be a musical instrument.

Now I know about the totem spear, but that one doesn't really do it for me. I can't imagine playing that weird flute and poking people with it at the same time.

I have this nagging feeling that there's at least one other weaponizeable musical instrument out there - or musicalizeable weapon.

Any ideas?

Lute of the Battle Ready with continuous Weaponwand enchanted onto it and a wand of Burning Hands or Scorching Ray stuck in it.

You could probably attach a flaming bayonet to the neck of a guitar?

You could attack strings to a greataxe, so you could play it. And you could cast weaponwand on it, so that it would shoot scorching rays?

EDIT: Doomed Hero takes it

Continual Flame on an instrument is a good investment if you're on a budget or if you're playing in a RAW heavy environment such as PFS. Besides, the flame part is never used as a weapon anyway iirc.

Hmm, if magic item crafting is on the table then the obvious choice is a singing sword because they are so cheap to create.

A temple sword with bells would seem probably be a good base, if your GM will let you consider it to be a musical instrument. The Hurrican quarterstaff is designed to whistle when swung and should be able to qualify for musical instrument status.

If not for PFS see if your Gm will let you buy a customized Flame Tongue that's an axe/guitar instead of a longsword

He does try to flame Max when max is with him. he doesn't try to whap him, he tries to flame him.. so at least he tried to use it as a weapon

I was hoping to use it for PFS, and I do want to be able to whack people with it from time to time. It's okay if it's not super-optimal, I'll make up the slack somewhere else :P

The Lute could work, but I was hoping for something that's a weapon and an instrument at the same time, so that I can keep up a bardic performance while hitting people with it.

well anything is a weapon via improvised weapon.
just not a good weapn..
particularly in PFS where you can't convice the gm to let you weapon enchant it

i don't see al ot of other possibilities than listed here

Unless. PFS allows varient multiclassing? doesn't magus VMC get you arcane weapon? I can't remember. That would be a potential way to get bonuses on an improvsed weapon like a lute.
