The "Folk" Races

Advice

In my new campaign I really want a different name for all of the classic "Folk" Races. Such as the catfolk, lizard folk, MerFolk, sea elves, and also a separate group of elves we call the High Elves. Do any of you guys use special names for these races? Or maybe throw me some suggestions? Thanks guys.

Well in the game Wizardy, Catfolk were known as Felpurrs and Dog/wolf folk were known as Rawulf.

Cool, much better than the Folk

Catfolk: Bhasur/Mezzuran/the Freykin
Lizardfolk: Saurin/Saarus/Children of the Wet
Ratfolk: Filthin/The Wroe/Underkin
Merfolk: Moaveche
Sea Elves: Vellami/Ao'veu/the Get of the Deep
High Elves: Sun Children/Star People/ Fair Folk/the Gentry

Yeah that's just some stuff I've come up with over the years. Hope its useful.

You could follow Elder Scrolls:

Catfolk -> Khajiit
High elves -> Altmer
Lizardfolk -> Argonians

Ah! Perfect, thanks Shadow. Those are fantastic! And Rumpin, I don't know why I didn't think of the Elder Scrolls names, thank you. I'll bring them to my players and see which they prefer. I appreciate it guys!
