Advice on spear-fighter build

Advice

I'm doing an ultimate, unchained campaign with hero points. One of my friends wants to be a half-elf fighter that uses spears and anti-hero for the extra feat at 1st level. His ability score rolls are pretty meh and I was wondering where he should put them.
His rolls:
8
12
11
16
10
9

Grand Lodge

Str: 16, Dex: 11, Con: 12, Int: 9, Wis: 10, Cha: 8

Add the +2 to your Str or Dex. I prefer Dex and your Level 4 Point into dex giving you 14 Dex to use with Combat reflexes.

I do not know what Anti-hero is..not familiar with it...could you enlighten me?

Feat wise on a fight is very easy:

Combat Reflexes, Power attack, Weapon Focus, and Weapon Specialization, and Lunge.

I highly recommend Iron Will but I do like to cover my weakest point of my character.

Some flavor Feats:
Stand Still, Combat expertise->Trip Line, Big Game Hunter, Horn of the Criosphinx (If you Favor Charging)

Some Fighter Archetypes to Consider:
2 Handed Fighter- Best damage
Lore Warden- More skills and Built in Combat Expertise
Polearm Master- As the title suggests they are pretty good with a spear

Things to Consider about Half Elves:

Ancestral Arms- Gain proficiency with an exotic weapon.
Dual Minded- +2 on will save (I like this very much for a fighter because it stacks with Elven Immunities giving him good will saves and immunity to Sleep.)

"A PC can elect not to use the hero point system, instead relying more on his skills and abilities. Such characters do not receive hero points, regardless of the source, and can never benefit from their use. In exchange, such characters receive a bonus feat at 1st level. The option to allow such antiheroes in the game is subject to GM discretion."
sorry for the late reply my group is swamping me with question, and thanks for the help.
I was looking at the polearm master and it looks like the better option over a phallanx fighter

Grand Lodge

It is the better option.

I personally like the Lore Warden for Free combat expertise and Bonus to CMB. With all those extra feats it is fun to trip and Dirty trick. Quick Dirty trick makes for a lot of fun. A level of Brawler would not be a bad 1 Level dip for Martial Flexibility, Brawler's Cunning, +2 Reflex save, Unarmed Strike (no need for a Gauntlet/Armor Spikes), and martial training does not slow you down picking up Weapon Specialization. Plus being a half-elf you get the favored class bonus on 2 classes.

Ahh extra feat I have only played 1 game with hero points and they used the basic rules for it.

Weapon Focus and Power attack. At level 2 go into Combat Reflexes.

Just focus on straight up killing those lower HP mobs then start working on your Reach tactics.

Scarab Sages

Since you are playing unchained, I'd start with four levels of unchained rogue. This will allow you to put the one good roll into Dex, and use half-elf for proficiency with the Elven Branched spear. This will let you have full 2hand damage based on Dex, and increase AC.

How about Str: 8, Dex: 16, Con: 12, Int: 9, Wis: 10, Cha: 11

Elf Unchained Rogue (Swashbuckler archetype) with the Elven Branched Spear as Martial Proficiency -- or Half-Elf Ancestral Arms (if you care about keeping trapfinding). What this gets you is Dex to hit and 1.5 x Dex to damage at level 3.

The Elf Swashbuckler can even take the Combat Trick twice, so feat wise this seems alright.

Edit: ninjad

With the Elven Branched Spear, you can add Elven Battle Training for more AoO.

he's dead set on the half-elf polearm master. And adding elven battle training is such an amazingly dirty thing to do.

I guess I'm biased because the build I was looking at has so much dex that a +1 AoO per round will virtually always be useless... - However I also just saw the Elven Battle Training can count for bows, which could be cool with those "threaten with bow" builds...

I don't see sunder or disarm too often. Is a single AoO / round more worth a feat?

Well earlier he was looking at the phallanx guy, right? how dead set can he be?

One more thought if he's actually using a longspear and not something complicated like what I suggested - ask the GM if Banners can be attached to longspears for the Flagbearer feat. Check out this artifact, which says "the banner of the ancient kings doubles the morale bonuses granted by that feat" - while attached to a longspear. To double doesn't mean anything if the feat isn't already working. Thus mundane banners on longspears should work for the feat as well. However, it doesn't specify if you can actually use the weapon while the banner is attached. Hm. Just a thought anyhow.

Phalanx Formation is a cool feat if you expect to fight over someone.

Combat Reflexes's AoO are based on Dex bonus. If you get dex drain/damage, you're AoO go down. Elven Battle Training is a straight bonus. The disarm/sunder bonus doesn't hurt either
