Greater Kobolds

Hi, I'm building a custom setting where kobolds who lead a pack of kobolds become larger, tougher, and just generally more dragonlike, in a manner similar to silverback gorillas. I was going to homebrew a new race of "greater kobolds" to represent these leaders, but I was just wondering if this had already been done, or if anyone had any suggestions.

I'm looking to place them around the same racial power level as humans.

-2 strength, +2 dexterity, +int if you want generic kobold like stats

-2 strength, +2 con, +2 charisma if you want stats that favor abilities like breathe weapons and thus how dragons are.

elsewise they're pretty good, maybe give them a free feat or something, or something specific to kobolds.

The east way is to slap on the advanced template... If you need them to be bigger, theres a template for that too...

This will however raise their CR above humans...

The Koldemar in the Kobold Kings by rogue genius games are precisely this. I've used them a fair bit in my games and they line up pretty well with the core races.

I dunno if the Draconic template got bumped over to Pathfinder, but it's perfectly serviceable in its 3.5 incarnation and does a pretty good job of giving you what you want, I think =)

I did buy the book, it fixes all of the issues I had with Kobolds. like it repairs the feats that don't make sense and everything. even gives some options for a medium sized kobold if you really believe what kobolds say about their dragon heritage.
