Creative Destruction:
You have learned how to use destructive energy to empower yourself.
Benefit(s): When you cast an evocation spell that deals damage, you gain a number of temporary hit points equal to the total number of dice used to determine the damage caused by the spell. Temporary hit points gained from this discovery do not stack and disappear after 1 hour.
If I cast a spell during the surprise round and cast a spell that does damage I add my sneak attack damage. This damage is from the spell and even does the kind of damage the spell does.
Would the SA dice also count as additional dice for the temporary hit points gained?

Bull... at higher levels its a great discovery.
past level 10, 10-20 HP per damage spell is equivalent to False Life, and recharges everytime you blast again.
Our RotRL wizard took this, and at 12 he's got more HP than our Magus and Inquisitor normally, and approaching our fighter and paladin.
Also, since sneak attack dice are added to the attack that generated them, and considered the same type of damage, I would say it would stack.
Even on the most viable build for this, it's maybe 4-5 points as an arcane trickster.

No, only the damage the spell itself as responsible for. A Scorching Ray, for example, would only add 4 THP, not 4 + Sneak attack dice.
Note that Creative Destruction is a tremendously bad waste of a discovery. Discoveries are SO GOOD, you don't want to waste them on this dreck.
I see no language anywhere that allows you to make that distinction. If you attack with a Scorching Ray and have 3 SA dice the damage is 7d6.
