Does spell duration affect permanency / ćrafter mag item price?

Rules Questions

Basis forth topic question is that - I like the idea of a robe of infinite yarn for my caty character, but a few cg adventures with a grappling..what's it called, windlass? Hoist? The thing that used in the Just Cause series, thats what google translate tells me, made me want the yarn to be a little stronger.
I was thinking of using major creation instead of the minor one for making the object, but I'm at a loss on how to price the new item. Would it work if I wanted the thread to be effectively mithril or adamantine wire? Would there be a difference in pricing between a robe producing iron/steel thread and its mithril version?

If you use Major vs Minor, it is a higher level effect.

This would increase it's cost by 1.6071428571 by the chart. Ask your GM if that cost increase is fair for the increased duration.

If you make Mithril or Adamantine wire, that is massively more expensive.

Making so much iron/steel is one thing, making materials that cost significantly more is another thing.

Seems it may be that chart I couldnt remember. Where to find it?

As for mithril/adamantine major creation made those available, but while organic materials for minor creation and simple metals for major lasted hours, rare metals was..rounds
Thus I wondered if the cost increase could be calculated using that for an item that made minor ammounts permanent, like the robe does with thread/rope.
A "rope" made of one of these could definitely hold much more weight than an iron one and Id like to maximise the usability..thiugh maybe I am going over the top with a magic item thats only supposed to supply materials for an advanced tool.
Wondering also if steel counts as a base metal in pathfinder, at least for major creation.

Major Creation is 5th vs. Minor Creation at 4th, and needs CL 9 not CL 7.

Robe of Infinite Twine is CL 7, and uses Minor Creation. Changing it to Major Creation means changing the price by CL and SL.

Price is: 1000 gp * (5/4) * (9/7) ~= 1608 gp.

Since the Metal from the more powerful spell lasts just as long as the vegetable matter of the weaker spell, I would substitute wire for twine and cable for rope. Otherwise, leave the item the same.

To prevent financial issues, add the property that material drawn from the robe only lasts 9 hours. That way, using the robe for profit won't work out very well. :-)

As a GM, I would be fine with this.
