Based on experience the past two years, the line has moved incredibly quickly. Two years ago, I got to the line, saw it, and went "ulp", thinking that there was no way I'd make my 8AM game. 10 minutes later, I was through the line. It was extraordinary. The American Astronomical Society could learn from Paizo about running an effective convention registration line. So, it sounds like it will be a mess, but based on experience, they make things work quite well.
So, don't worry. You'll get to your game on time.
Last year (2014), I didn't GM Thursday morning, so I didn't register early. I did need to pick up a blank flip mat for my afternoon GM session, though. After the line, I had time to drop by the store and pick that up before my 8AM game.

We didn't get in line until almost 7 last year and it looked like an hour line at least. As soon as 7AM hit, the line moved and really never stopped moving. We were through it in less than 15 min. Their won't be a problem making 8AM games. You will probably even have time to shop in the store as well.
The hotel unlocking rooms for the lottery games was the real problem, we started late because of that.

Yeah, so I had to do a system upgrade to access a secure site and that did not go as smoothly as I hoped. Apparently it didn't like trying to import an obscene amount of emails from 5+ years of customer service when upgrading my mail client. So I was without email access all day yesterday. Good news is that Lissa can work miracles and is preforming one on my machine right now!
Hopefully will have access to my email again shortly.

The people that qualify are GMs or volunteers of 8 or 9am games/events, employees, and special guests. I'll shoot this email out as soon as I have access again (I have it already written). It will be around 6pm-10pm Thursday night.
As others have noted, the line does move very fast. We have it set up with our entire customer service department (Myself, Sharaya, Katina and Diego) behind tables with everyone's packets in alphabetical order. You show your ID, we give you packet with your badge, any event tickets and you go get your swag bag. Anyone with badge issues is taken aside to work on so that the line is not held up. We have people go up and down the line occasionally to remind folks to have their photo ID ready and that speeds things up too.

Since I'm meeting friends in downtown Seattle for dinner,I don't know if I can get back in time for registration. Can you have a way for 8 am GM's to get registered early so we can get set up?

But I'm arriving Saturday EVENING, how can I pick it up that morning?

I believe Sara meant "Sunday" morning (the convention preparation has all our wires crossed as it gets closer). Our registration area and store will be closing up for the evening at 6:00 PM Friday, Saturday and Sunday (opening at 7:00 AM all three days) and 3:00 PM on Monday (opening at 9:00 AM). Additionally, our whole staff will be in the PaizoCon Preview Banquet during that time window. If you have specific event tickets or have a ticket to the banquet that you need that night, please email paizocon@paizo.com.

Walking in the convention areas is absolutely OK. I suspect we'll have a lot of people hanging around/gaming in the hotel bar area and in our open gaming space. Official events that are listed on our Event Schedule will require a PaizoCon badge, however. Traditionally there's also been an "Anti-Banquet" group that rallies up near when the Banquet starts, so I'd look out for a thread popping up Saturday evening by those folks.

Malikjoke, I'll be shooting you an email when I can get email back open.
Dale McCoy Jr & rknop, I know you two were on email, I remember adding you both specifically. I cannot currently open my email (not pleased with the upgrade to Yosemite AT ALL) so I can't check why it didn't send but as soon as I can check I will.

Do you guys just cap the badge-pickup line at 6PM or do you physically stop handing out badges then?
If it's the latter I'd also be interested in having a friend pick up my badge.... I'm probably going to have to work OT tomorrow (dang people getting sick!) and won't be able to show up till ~5:50... and I managed to get into the Special too... D:

Still no email.
Well, I guess I'll just get my badge Sunday. Hopefully its organized and I can at least get to the 8am game I'm signed up for, but at this point my gut tells me that they won't.
The good news, I guess, is that because the store won't be open for me to get the badge, I wont be spending any of the money i'd planned to spend there (sorry third party publishers).

Is the pickup window for Friday Morning GMs still between 6 & 10 tonight? If so, I'll head up then to grab my stuff.
[EDIT]
I'm also not complaining, but considering your email woes, I figured that, since I live in Tacoma, I could drive up tonight and grab it if it still going to available. If not, I'll just leave early tomorrow.
