Hex Strike Hexcrafter Magus?

Advice

I think this combination works rather nicely.

At level 5, you can cast Disfiguring Touch, Attack with an Unarmed Strike, and Hex Strike in the same round. The way this works is that you land the punch which delivers the Disfiguring Touch and then you get to land your hex with a potential -2 to saves.

Of course you have to choose your hex, but I like Evil Eye because this combination is the ultimate save shredder. Especially as you gain levels, with Accursed Strike you can use Spellstrike to land Bestow Curse. At level 8, you'll be able to bestow curse and evil eye for a -8 to all saves on impact in a single round.

Next round you can follow that -4, -6, or -8 saves up with a spell or hex to crush your opponent. If the opponent makes their saves, you can always use a Cackle to keep the evil eye up...and keep a Quick Runner's Shirt available in order to move and cackle in the same round.

The best part is that you can take the Hex Strike feat multiple times in order to follow up your initial hit and save shredding with both a spell and another Hex.

Thoughts?

Want to have some real fun with it? Human, Half-elf, and Half-orc (or scion of humanity Aasimar) can also take Martial Versatility, and use Hex Strike with weapons in the same fighter weapon group as unarmed.

If you happen to be Half elf, grab the Urumi (d8 18-20x2 weapon) and keen that bad boy for some extra fun.

Level 12+ Retribution Hex is an amazing one, now they take half the damage they deal.

It's a very cool setup. I have the early skeleton of a build laying around that's built around this combination. Damage suffers compared to a straight Magus, but it's an absolute master of debuffing.

It also makes for an amusing boxer concept. Putting your opponent to sleep-- literally-- with one punch is just funny.

I wanted to take the first Hex Strike as slumber so badly but I just can't do it: Its too liable to having the GM drop Undead, Constructs, swarms, and Oozes on you.

Still, -8 Will Save followed up by a Slumber or some kind of spell to take advantage of the save loss cripples paired with another Evil Eye punch (Probably to AC) is going to hurt. Especially if you start pairing this with the old Rime spell metamagic, Fridgid Touch or Frostbite now is going to cripple your opponent.

Don't forget to add Cornugon Smash and a Cruel Amulet of Mighty Fists to add Shaken and Sickened for free.

I use it with healing hexes. How to save your worst friend by slamming him in the face. Very satisfying. ^_^

The skeleton I have lying around wound up taking the same route you did and using Evil Eye. Slumber's an option that I would take with a secondary Hex Strike if I picked up another one early enough.

Hamatulatsu Strike should still qualify you for Precise Strike, so you're not even losing much damage with this route.
