Pathfinder Unchained release date?

I have been searching on this site for a little while now and I can't find it, when does Pathfinder Unchained actually come out?

I was going to buy it off the site, but I don't know if I would be better off just waiting for it to hit stores. Are they currently shipping the books for all orders does anyone know or just subscribers?

I could be missing something, but I've never gotten anything from the site before and this seems pretty confusing.

The release date in stores is April 29. Subscribers get theirs early. The pdf will be available for non-subscribers on the 29th as well.

Thank you, but do you know if the 29th is also the shipping date for non-subscriber orders? As in if I ordered it, it would not ship until the 29th.

I'm not sure about that. I've always bought the pdf version without the physical book.

Might do that. I was just thinking that if it releases on the 29th in stores and they dont ship it until the 29th, I might as well just get it in store for a physical copy. Otherwise I'd be waiting as much as two weeks for it it looks like.

I read the reviews and I am wondering if someone can tell me how Pathfinder Unchained fits in? Is it essentially a mainstream core class overalls?

It's a book of official optional rules.

Subscriber copies and non-subscription preorders start going out at pretty much the same time.

I wonder what that means for PFS..don't bother buying the book?

So um, it's the 29th. The page says "PDF released today" What time does the system normally update that so I can actually buy the book?

I think Paizo is running on PDT, witch is GMT - 7, so it's Tuesday 28th for two more hours at the Paizo office.

The download speeds on the PDF at this moment are incredibly slow.

I'd suspect they've shipped a large chunk of the subscriptions today, and everyone is eagerly downloading at 1/20th normal speeds.

You’ll have to wait a few hours yet. From my previous experience with similar tenterhooks waits, I’m fairly certain that Paizo doesn’t release its .pdfs until around the open of business-hours in Seattle. :-(

How long was your download?

Mine is taking about 2 hrs, and has already failed once, needing to be restarted. Rest of my internet connection is functioning fine, so I'm reasonably sure its at the paizo.com end of things.

I got mine fairly quickly, but I also kept refreshing the page so I would be the first one to get it or at least one of the first ones. I doubt it took longer than 3 minutes.

Interesting. Took me over two hours, and this was before the release time.

Oh well, done now :P

Just ordered the book and pdf. With the taxfest15 code, received a nice discount.

Took about three minutes to download all four copies of the pdf.
