You know that's not an official rule, right? You posted in the Rules Questions forum about an unofficial 3rd-party rule, so the best I can do is guess.
I would say yes, this should be OK. It's not any different than the example given in the text and, frankly, it would seem underpowered. For the same price as +1 enhancement (+1 to hit and damage), you gain basically +1 to your average damage - not a good trade.
I'm comparing, in this example, a +2 shortsword (+2 to hit, 1d6+2 damage, average 5.5) to a +1 adaptable longsword (+1 to hit, 1d8+1 damage, average 5.5). I would take the shortsword.
But why stop at longsword?
Maybe on a better weapon, like a falcata for better crits or a bastard sword for another +1 to average damage, you would at least break even and you'd look cool doing it.
Or go all the way up to two-handed. I don't see anything in the enchantment that says you can't. So you could still use Adaptable with a greatsword or elven curved blade, use them with Weapon Finess, and still use two hands with it so you can have 1.5x your STR bonus on damage.

If you insist that you can put adaptive on a longsword, I'll allow it. Now what exactly do you think it will do, since there isn't any "pull" to adjust?

well i was trying to make a chinese like martial artist npc, the type u see in the HK movies, and they normaly use a straight longsword (jian), and since they normaly use with finess, and not with str, i was trying to see how to pull it of... :P and since the dueling sword is a curved blade it was no good

Swashbuckler, or Daring Champion Cavalier
Slashing Grace feat.
No need for anything else.
I have no idea why you think the Adaptive enchantment would do anything.
Here is Adaptive:
Adaptive
Aura: faint transmutation CL: 1st
Slot: weapon quality; Price: +1,000 gp; Weight —
Description
This ability can only be placed on composite bows. An adaptive bow responds to the strength of its wielder, acting as a bow with a strength rating equal to its wielder’s Strength bonus. The wielder can fire it with a lesser Strength bonus (and cause less damage) if desired.
Construction
Requirements Craft Magic Arms and Armor, warp wood; Price +500 gp
Why did you think this would work for Longswords?

Ouch.
Snarky and wrong at the same time.
Please read entire posts before you jump down peoples' throats like that.
