Since the dawn of the races, there was an innate awareness that things we couldn’t see represented potential danger or death.

The darkness that is forming is inciting this fear in the whole crowd and the Wayang spectators are trying to flee!

The shadows are preventing you from seeing distinct shapes and they are veiling a potential threat that is forming.

Rossby will move back toward the gate. Rossby knows nothing about planes, so he'll cast Divine Favor.

The young dwarf tries to shake is head clear. Cookies? Dark Voices? Reset Pword? Cookies?

Finally he seems to regain some consciousness and sees what is happening around him. Fichead rushes to the unconscious wayang and checks to make sure she is stable. Then picks up his thrown dagger. Round 3/4: check the wayang, cast stabilize if needed (probably not with Rossby dealing non-lethal). recover weapon.

Then he retrieves his dagger and moves back to the stage and feeling the impending threat casts another spell. A sapphire energy forms in front of him, shaped like a giant gem drawn in two dimensions.

As the others prepare you see Figg, the Eidolon and Drelluandast continue the ritual with such expertise that it seems as if they themselves are creatures of shadow.

The innate magic of the ritual incorporates traces of Figg's and Drelluandast's lineage and those that remain are almost feeling how they push the darkness away.

Suddenly, you all see an entity resembling a large dire wolf appearing ... it has been exposed to the darkness' fell energy and was transformed by it.

Rossby's attack of opportunity also hits because the wolf is out of balance due to the charge! And his second hit is vibrating through the large wolf's body and it is also shaken!

Figg is not able to continue the ritual anymore! On the ground he concentrates to enter the beast's mind but the darkness pushes him out!

Sorry, I'm going to throw everything off here. I meant to add this into my last post but apparently didn't. Also, sorry to Rossby.

Shadows envelope Figg as the creature bites down at Figg. The shadows then coalesce showing the creature biting at Rossby instead.

Shadow Splinter:

The mesmerist protects the subject against an attack and redirects the harm to someone else. The mesmerist can trigger this trick when the subject takes damage from an attack. The damage the subject takes is reduced by an amount equal to 3 + the mesmerist’s Charisma modifier (to a maximum of the total amount of damage the attack deals). Another creature within range of the original attack, other than the attacker, is affected by a shadow illusion that makes it appear as if the attacker is attacking that creature instead of the attacker’s actual target. This second creature takes an amount of damage equal to the amount by which the attack’s damage was reduced. This shadow doesn’t require a roll to hit and ignores cover and concealment, but the target can attempt a Will save to disbelieve the effect. If it succeeds at this save, it neither takes the damage nor believes the attacker targeted it. This trick can’t be triggered if there’s no eligible second creature within range to take the redirected damage. This is an illusion (shadow) effect.

TLDR: The damage on Figg is reduced by 8 and Rossby needs to make a Will save DC 16 or take the 8 damage.

Drelluandast and Fichead steer the ritual to a culmination and complete the ritual.

Suddenly, The demon drops to the ground, motionless.

The shadow creature is struck down by rays of moonlight, causing it to burn in monochrome fire.

Suddenly, you are left in complete blackness as darkness covers the entirety of the moon.

For those of you without the gift of darkvision, the darkness feels like an eternity.

You eventually make out the twinkling light of the stars in the sky, proving that you are not blind, but the experience is still disorienting.
