Male Human Druid 1 0/0 XP 19/19 HP 1 Armor

My wisdom is fairly low, but I hit things real hard.

Half Elf

Kara, the Priceline Negotiator!!!

*grin* =)

And considering who had this spot before, that puts me in rare company indeed!

Now I want Kara to do Rocketman. I would've said "sing Rocketman" but "sing" is really not the right word for what he was doing.

You've got to love how he just sits there smoking that cigarette! ha! Gotta love 70's TV.

Anyone who makes The Family guy 30 years after his popularity has to have struck some kind of popular chord. =)

Ok, so one of the things I want to do with this campaign is to flesh out some of the areas where you will be visiting a bit more. That includes Restov. So, name a place you want to go and it will be a part of the city (within boundaries). Let me see what you've got.

Male Halfling Bard (archaeologist) hp 9/9, ac 19 (ff 15 tch 15), cmd 14, fort +2, ref +7, wil +2, init +4, perc+3 sm -1

Hmmm... perhaps some kind of exotic pet shop or menagerie, where wizards can buy familiars and people can buy strange pets, perhaps even small magical beast (shocker lizards, carbuncles etc)

Half Elf

I'd like to visit someplace we could find a wand of remove or cure disease or something similar. Any bustling marketplace with such a magical shop. :)

Liberty's Edge

Female Human Druid/1 (HP: 11/11; AC18; FF15; T13; F+4, R+2, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

Isn't a wand of remove disease like 4500?

Half Elf

Probably, I don't have anything in front of me at the moment. I was thinking cheap used wands or something low cost that may help. :)

Liberty's Edge

Female Human Druid/1 (HP: 11/11; AC18; FF15; T13; F+4, R+2, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

Actually, Remove Disease is a 3rd level spell, so it would probably be 11,250. Don't forget, we have two druids and a bard in the party, so we have quite a bit of healing. Both of the druids get Remove Disease at level 5. Yeh, it is a while, but it is a lot cheaper than a wand.

Even if a wand is for sale, it will be 225 per charge, thus a wand with 1 charge left would be 225.

Half Elf

Yeah, that's a bit out of our budget for the time being.

Male Half-Elf Druid (World Walker) 1 [HPs: 11|11 - AC: 18 | 12 |16 - For:+4 | Ref:+2 | Wil:+6 - Per:+10 (Low-light) Init:+2]

Speaking of budget, since DM just mentioned that it's about to snow we might want to use some of our gambling winnings to buy cold weather survival gear, camping equipment, and trail rations for the group in case we get lost or snowed in somewhere.

Mounts for everybody could be good, too, assuming our caravan doesn't come with a horse for every PC.

Agreed, although we do have 2 druids in the party, so we should be able to scavenge for food and keep a lot of people covered with Endure Elements if necessary. We can also cast/collect goodberries which I believe serve as food.

Nods to Pji. Scavenging cuts our travel rate in half, but those Goodberries change the whole thing. 1 spell makes 2d4 of those, and eating one fills you for the whole day!
We should still get some rations, but most of our needs should be taken care of by 1-2 goodberry spells.
Agree with the horses idea. I assume we have wagons to ride in, but best not take the chance, if we can afford it.

Male Halfling Bard (archaeologist) hp 9/9, ac 19 (ff 15 tch 15), cmd 14, fort +2, ref +7, wil +2, init +4, perc+3 sm -1

I have a pony.

The wagons will only have space for 2 people and 1 is a driver. So, three of you can ride on the wagons and the others will need a horse. Or pony as the case may be.

Also, on the Goodberry spell, you have to have fresh berries to cast the spell on. It doesn't create the berries out of nothing. Might want to remember that...

In theory, could you cast Gentle Repose on a bunch of picked berries so they stay fresh?

I would say no to that. The berries aren't really 'corpses' like the Gentle Repose is intended for.

Pjiana will look into purchasing a sturdy tough small tree to take with her on the trip. Like some type of a bonsai or a boxwood or something of that sort..

Unless there is anything else tonight, we'll get moving east tomorrow.

Half Elf

Wagonssssss....EAST!!!

You mean Wagons East.

Half Elf

I'm so glad someone caught the reference!

Male Half-Elf Druid (World Walker) 1 [HPs: 11|11 - AC: 18 | 12 |16 - For:+4 | Ref:+2 | Wil:+6 - Per:+10 (Low-light) Init:+2]

My suggestions for gear before leaving:

Cold-weather outfit x6 - 48 gp
Campsite kit for 6 - 18 gp (assuming you can just scale it up from 4 people)
3 medium tents - 45 gp
Trail rations for 4 Medium sized people x4 days - 8 gp
Halfling trail rations for 2 x4 days - 16 gp or 8 sp (? there's a discrepancy between the table and the text here; it's either 2 gp or 1 sp)

Horse, light x2, with bit/bridle, saddle, and 4 days feed - 174.4 gp Or 344.4 for combat trained mounts with military saddles.

Antitoxin x6 - 300 gp This is just a recommendation, but I've never seen a PC regret having a vial of antitoxin.

That leaves 490 gp, 6 sp (or 320 gp, 6 sp) out of the 1100.

Radek will spend another 50 gp on a MW Survival item (the book of maps already mentioned).

Is everyone ok with the money from the Ruby Guesthouse going into Party Funds or do you want to maintain your monies individually?

Let me know which you would prefer so that I can keep track.

Also, you need to make a decision on the combat trained mounts or not.

Thanks.

Yes, that's all party funds. It's a wonder we walked out with anything at all. =}

Sure to the Combat trained mounts. It's only money. Dirty, dirty money. ;-D

Wagons east! =)

Male Half-Elf Druid (World Walker) 1 [HPs: 11|11 - AC: 18 | 12 |16 - For:+4 | Ref:+2 | Wil:+6 - Per:+10 (Low-light) Init:+2]

So, unless anybody actually has the Ride skill I'd say give the 2 horses to the 2 druids with their Handle Animal skills. And Avery has his pony, which would put Mark, Kara, and Bryn on the wagon.

I'd be fine with using party funds to buy heavier armor or better weapons for people if anybody wants anything. Or other MW skill items.

Liberty's Edge

Female Human Druid/1 (HP: 11/11; AC18; FF15; T13; F+4, R+2, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

Agreed - whatever is left, if someone needs masterwork, or heavier, armor, lets get that AC up.

Male Human Druid 1 0/0 XP 19/19 HP 1 Armor

As the fighter, it's going to be most expensive to get me kitted out. I'm not the best at min/maxing equipment choices in Pathfinder, though...I'll try to find something heavier for myself.

Radek, I have that you would have 405 gp 6 sp left.

344.4 for the gear and combat trained mounts + 300 for the Antitoxin + 50 for MW Survival Map = 694.4

1100 - 694.4 = 405 gp and 6 sp.

Am I adding something twice?

Male Half-Elf Druid (World Walker) 1 [HPs: 11|11 - AC: 18 | 12 |16 - For:+4 | Ref:+2 | Wil:+6 - Per:+10 (Low-light) Init:+2]

No, you're probably just adding it up better than I did. I'm good with your count.

Ok, so post here who is riding horses/ponies and who is on the wagon.

In addition, what will be your watch order while on the road at night?

Male Human Druid 1 0/0 XP 19/19 HP 1 Armor

I'll ride a horse, and take either a first or last watch. Not having darkvision, it's best if I have some light to see by, at dawn or dusk.

Liberty's Edge

Female Human Druid/1 (HP: 11/11; AC18; FF15; T13; F+4, R+2, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

Likewise, no dark vision or low light vision here. Pjiana can ride a horse, although she is not that skilled, or she can ride on a wagon. I am good either way. She will probably be taking to air a lot of the time in a few levels.

Male Human Druid 1 0/0 XP 19/19 HP 1 Armor

Oh yeah...I should have probably considered that Mark has no ranks in Ride at all...maybe I should've ridden in the wagon, but screw it, I like horses.

Half Elf

Low light vision for Bryn. He will ride in the wagon

Liberty's Edge

Heelz: 3/3 |Lucky: 3/3 |FX: Human Celestial Warlock 2| AC: 13 | HP: 19/19 | 1st: 2/2 | Init: +3 Perc: +4 |

Kara likes this 'riding in the wagon' idea. She'll ride next to Tethya and the two of them will keep up a running narrative of everything that has happened and is happening and will happen.

So that puts the two with darkvision, Radek and Bry in the middle, and Mark and Pji on the ends.

So it looks like, from first to last:
Mark, Kara, Radek, Bry, Pji.

Or something like that?

Male Half-Elf Druid (World Walker) 1 [HPs: 11|11 - AC: 18 | 12 |16 - For:+4 | Ref:+2 | Wil:+6 - Per:+10 (Low-light) Init:+2]

Since nobody has ranks in Ride I figured the 2 PCs with Handle Animal would take the horses. Radek's definitely taking 1 of them, either way.

Radek and Bryn are both casters who need a solid 8 to regain their spells. Then again, I guess we're all casters except for Mark, aren't we? Hadn't noticed that before. Anyway, it doesn't matter to me when Radek's watch is as long as he gets his rest.

Liberty's Edge

Female Human Druid/1 (HP: 11/11; AC18; FF15; T13; F+4, R+2, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

Pretty sure that you do not need 8 straight hours of sleep, so 4+4 plus 1 to pray/read spell books is just as good as 8+1.

Male Half-Elf Druid (World Walker) 1 [HPs: 11|11 - AC: 18 | 12 |16 - For:+4 | Ref:+2 | Wil:+6 - Per:+10 (Low-light) Init:+2]

I think it's not even necessarily sleep, just non-strenuous restful activity. But some DMs require sleep, some don't. Regardless, it doesn't matter to me a whole lot where Radek is in the watch order as long as he recovers his spells.

Liberty's Edge

Female Human Druid/1 (HP: 11/11; AC18; FF15; T13; F+4, R+2, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

Agreed, probably Radek and Pjiana on the morning watch would be best as Radek has the low light for the pre-dawn hours, and both would be able to commune with nature at this point.

Hey everyone, very sorry for this but because of changes in my job and issues to deal with in RL, I'm going to have to step away from the game. I apologize for not being able to complete this journey together. Best of luck to you all.

Understood. RL happens. It has been fun for a while and should you return, let me know as I am always looking for good DMs.

Also, once others have responded, please switch the campaign(s) to inactive so that they disappear from the Campaign tab.

Thanks for the time you put into this.
