I'm a fan of Carrion Crown, very horrorish, and Reign of Winter.

I'm playing Kingmaker now. That's been a lot of fun for my players. We've played Wrath of the Righteous and Reign of Winter. I enjoyed both. I thought Wrath was an epic storyline, but the mechanics fell apart pretty bad by the end (the nature of high-level Mythic). My group is planning on playing either Shattered Star or Second Darkness next. Second Darkness I believe was still 3.5, so there will need to be some conversion...

I'm playing Crimson Throne, and it's pretty amazing. Also running Reign of Winter, but that's a vastly different kind of campaign. I've read through Council of Thieves as well, and that seems like a pretty fun campaign, especially since it caps at level 13.

Carrion `Crown is without a doubt my favourite. It's not perfect by any means, since it requires some work from the GM to tie the books/big bad into the plot. But the atmosphere is great and books 1 and 2 are particularly excellent

As note we don't play as an evil party. We did that once a couple years ago and the adventure fell apart by level 3.

Kingmaker is a definite first buy.

Can I throw in another vote for Carrion Crown? I've only played/run 6 APs, but Carrion Crown is like, whoa. Yeah.

Wrath is pretty awesome for the first 2 or 3 books as well. It's hamstrung by its mechanical...uh...novelty. If you're willing to polish the rough spots in combat mechanics, it's worth it. If you also don't mind wrapping the story up after 3 books, it's also worth it. If your players will cry if book 6 is too easy and you don't feel like balancing Mythic Rocket Tag, well, there are other APs which will give you more bang for your (already discounted) buck.

Wrath... yes, but not with mythic rules. I actually love the story of Wrath. It's very 'Game of Thronesy' with the 'wall' between Golarion and the demon wastes.

But the mythic rules just make it fall down. I'd be very tempted to run it again without those rules which is a shame because of course it was written to make use of them but it all just kind of falls down around book 2 for me when combats either drag on forever or are over in one round :/
