I want a pig wrestler

Advice

Okay, not exactly, but it got your attention, so help me out. ;)

I wanted fighter type (FTR, BBN, RGR, HTR, other?) that fights alongside his animal companion (leaning boar right now). Since he grew up with the boar, he would just use natural weapons.

Mad Dog barbarian half-orc is first thought, but that doesn't help a lot with the natural attacks stuff since rage powers and combat feats are slower (other than the Tusked trait).
Natural weapon ranger is an idea, but companion is late coming and weaker than above. (Would gladly give up spells or other stuff for earlier access - too bad there's no such archetype.)
Is there a way for a bloodrager to get a companion? Early?

Scarab Sages

Bloodrager can get a companies n via nature soul>animal ally, but it's not early. I think the wild child brawler is better for this concept. You Have a full companion from Level one, Can teach it skirmisher tricks, and have full bab unarmed strikes.

How about instead of an animal companion, you go with a familiar? With the new eldritch guardian archetype, you can have a familiar that gets all of your combat feats- it can wrestle right alongside you.

The mauler archetype for familiars also helps to keep it competitive. That archetype switches the boosts to INT as you level into boosts to STR, and your animal companion can take on a battle form that is medium sized and gets another +2 str. With your full BAB backing it up, it can get a mean CMB.

So you and piggy friend can tag team enemies and bring the PAIN down on all casters.

Bloodragers can get a familiar by losing their level 1 power, which can be a pig.

Awesome! All new ideas to me - time to do some reading....

Thanx!!

avr : Maybe I'm blind - where is the lose the level one power to get a familiar?

EDIT: Never mind - Found it.

^It is in Familiars, and search for "Bloodline Familiars" on the page (between 3/4 and 4/5 of the way down). Then you probably want the Mauler archetype of Familiar.

If you go the Animal Companion route and don't insist on full BAB, see Way of the Angry Bear 3 (and its its Discussion thread that I haven't actually read much of). Note that if you want to wrestle, Tetori Monk (for the Monk part of your build) is rated blue in there. However, Boar Shaman (for the Druid part of your build) is unfortunately rated red (too bad, or you could really be a pig wrestler). Unfortunately, the guide hasn't yet been updated to have builds, so you'll have to check the Discussion thread (I did skim enough to see that it has a few). The Discussion thread also relates a sort of opposite concept that has been going around the boards lately: The Songbird of Doom (that I also haven't read most of).
