Where and what are these item / feat / discoveries ?

Howdy!

So i'm looking myself but having no luck..

according to my friend who plays more than me. He found these things, on paizo only stuff.. Does anyone know of these or where to find them?

One was an item, he said glvoes but might not be. It stores up to 1/2 of your light carry weight in throwing items (only throwing items). and yo ucan call them out as a free action and they appear wielded.

some sort of crafting feat, or discovery (he was sure it was a discovery) that added half alchemist discovery to reflex on splash weapons I think. Mentioend lv 12 alchemist.. but I couldnt' find it.

THen some sorta feats or spells that increased the DC of splash weapons or something..

Does anyone know of these?

It's not gloves of storing, I know that much....

I'm willing to bet some of the details are off, so if anyone knows anything along the lines, i'd love to hear it so I can see if that was it, or not.

Go to d20PFSRD, click on Alchemist, then scroll down to Discoveries and click on "A complete list of discoveries can be found here: Discoveries", and peruse the list of discoveries to see if what you want is there.

I think Archives Of Nethys also has a list of discoveries if you prefer to use that web-site.

No idea what the gloves might be.

Is he hoping to make use of this new material?

If he is I would be frank and tell him that unless he can provide all the authentic details its a no-go.

Never heard of those gloves, but they sound rather good.

The onus of responsibility for proving something exists is on the person who says it exists, not on anyone else. In this case we would have to search through everything that paizo has ever published to definitely prove it... or they could say where they got this stuff and what the name is. Which one of those do you think is easier? I'll go a-hunting though, just in case.

Probably just me, but I got the impression his friend mentioned this stuff, Zwordsman thought it was cool and wanted to find out more for his own use. But only Zwordsman can say which of us it right.

I've looked at pretty much everything on d20pfsrd and have strong google-fu and can't find anything like these items or feats relating to pathfinder, paizo or 3rd party.

The gloves are somewhat like a homebrew 3.5 item that comes up in Google called "Gloves of Thrown Weapons."

I'm probably responsible for the confusion. I was merely asking for clarification but probably made Bob Bob Bob think that the proof burden of these items/feats/discoveries was the topic of the thread. The OP will eventually clear things up I'm sure.

Let's see, nothing to increase splash weapon DCs in spells or feats.

Nothing I can find to add half alchemist level to Reflex saves. Several discoveries for increasing the DC of poison, nothing for the bomb or splash weapons. Feats the only one that exists is Ability Focus, which would work for bombs but not splash weapons.

No glove I can find with such a convoluted mechanism for use. In fact, no magic items whatsoever use the phrase "light load", everything that uses "carrying capacity" is for increasing it, really, not sure where this came from.

So I suggest you go back to this person and ask for real names, references, and actual information instead of wild hearsay.

And yeah, probably derailed that. I was approaching from a "player asked me about these" not a "friend told me about these and they sound nice". Sorry about that.

Seriously though, follow the old adage for dealing with con men. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Cant find the other stuff. But I can tell you its not a Discovery, maybe a Feat but i can't Find it. But what does he mean by "added half alchemist discovery"? I know Alchemist Bombs Innately include half his Alchemist Level to the DC of his stuff(Plus INT Mod). So its a bit confusing. Im no expert in Alchemists so it could be some number I'm not seeing in my glance over the classes description.

I consider myself relatively familiar with Alchemist's as a class. I'm not familiar with any discovery that increases reflex DC's. He could be thinking of the Ability Focus feat which let's you increase the DC of a specific special ability by +2. I'm not 100% sure bombs would qualify, but I think they would. That's about all I can think of regarding bomb DC boosts.

yup. I"m making a Sram from Dofus, using trap breaker alchemist. also uses splash weapons.
he mentioned those things so I was looking for them and search through al lthe stuff but no go. He said it was new.
I'm gonna guess either supder duper new. Or he's mistaking another ediiton or something (though he only uses the paizo main site so i'm pretty sure it's gonna be a different edition thing). before I posted He said he'll look for them again , but life is a busy thing so figured i'd start this too.

The item sounds pretty reasonable. for the cost he was talking about.

I never understood why there was never a process of craft alchemy to increase DC's on things anyway...feat/discovery investment to make them relavant just sounds like something that would be real. So it sounded reasonable.

Glove of thrown weapon is kinda awesome, I'll have to see if thats what he was tihnking of. Sadly non valid thing.

I love alchemical weapons haha. So much at some point I made a prestige class about using it actually. SO when he mentioend it I was like "really? it's sorta similar! neat!"

ability focus for bombs does work. If your allowed to take ability focus.
