for my paladin, i want to gain great defense spells to make paladin even more resilient.
lvl 1: vanish or touch of gracelessness. the later is like adding 2-3 to hit to all the party, even if foe makes the save.
lvl 2 : mirror image or moment of greatness. mirror image is the best defence spell of lvl 2, moment of greatness is nice as it's a no action.
lvl 3: blink Vs displacement. displacement is better, as it works on others as well as no miss chance for self BUT, as level grow it will work less and less as monsters get senses and truth sight. blink works always as well as protection Vs area of effect spells.
lvl 4: dimension door Vs freedom of movement.

Mirror Image. Hands down as your 2nd level spell. It's awesome.
Vanish is good as a 1st level, but I'm not sure. Compel Hostility is a solid choice if you plan on using that defensiveness to "tank" for your group. Timely Inspiration is also a solid choice for when you REALLY need that attack/skill/check/whatever to land.
Improved Invisibility is also a solid choice of a 4th level spell. Otherwise, they're all good choices.

vanish is ok, but poor stealth .
Compel Hostility has a save, the dc will be too low.Timely Inspiration offer +3, touce of gracelessness offer (1d6+5)/2 to dex, so it's -4 - -5 dex = +2-+3 to hit for all the party. much better no?
mirror image i agree.
blink Vs displacement?
imp invisibility is indeed amazing. but offer stuff close to blink and mirror image no? how much use will i get out of freedom of movement?

The whole point of invisibility is that you don't need good stealth to be stealthy. As to Timely Inspiration, the benefit is that you can use it off your turn. It doesn't interrupt your normal actions in the same way that Touch of Gracelessness does, even if the later is better from a debuff perspective.
I like Displacement more, but that's just me. Anything that risks losing my actions isn't worth it, imo.
Here's the thing: If your group has regular access to haste, then Divine Power isn't that necessary, unless your group has limited access to it. If your group DOESN'T have access to Haste... you could pick it up as a 3rd level spell off the bard spell list, which could be a great choice instead of Displacement, depending on your party makeup.
The spells I mentioned are spells that will be generally useful. Freedom of Movement is a great spell... when you need it. The problem is that it's situational. Something like Timely Inspiration won't miss, and is always there when you need it, and doesn't interrupt your normal turn, but it's really up to you. Invisibility is nice because even if you fail your stealth, you still have total concealment, so it functions like Displacement with added benefits.

If your taking mirror image why take displacement? Double dipping your limited options.
2:mirror image
3:fly
4:contingent scroll or monsterous 2
You can't take fly with Unsanctioned Knowledge. You can only take spells on the Cleric/Oracle, Inquisitor, and Bard spell lists, none of which have Fly.

ahh my bad...forgot about that in my rush.
Dimensional Anchor helps against teleporters and offers no save.
Good Hope is a group Heroism but both are level 3 options. Good hope lets you buff the entire group and comes in under a 3rd level spell for a lesser extend rod. Heroism also works but I like being a team player with good hope.
Stone Shape isn't half bad.
If you're fighting tons of ranged people Wind Wall might be a good counter.
Invisibility Sphere- Invisibility but for everything 10 foot around you. This can be used to walk right into a place.

situational isn't an issue, as i got eldritch heritage - arcane bond so there is a "floating spell" - 1/day use any spell from my spell list.
also, with divine interference, a bad memorize is easily used.
