Just checking - Is the Druid Lion Shaman Archetype's Wildshape ability still broken / strictly worse than a normal Druid's since there is no Huge sized Lion to Wildshape into?

Grand Lodge

While you don't get access to a huge form the ability to Wildshape 2 levels higher at level 6 is actually very useful for 2 reasons. First you increase how often you can Wildshape and for how long. Second you gain access to the rake ability which grants you two additional attacks on a charge and when maintaining a grapple.

As a GM, i would argue that you can apply templates to achieve huge sized wildshape (giant simple template anyone). But that is my personal ruling.

That being said, the archetype is still really good if you wanna make a pouncing mauler of a druid.

The Concordance

The summoning ability of Shaman Druids is their real strength.

Standard action summons wreck encounters. Especially if you're summoning things that pounce.

If you wish to be focused on Wildshape, there are other options.
