One of the groups I'm a GM for has a Pally of Iomedae that wants to fall from grace. He took the Chosen One Archetype from the Familiar Folio and has a Outsider familiar the one that looks like a feathered helmet.
How do I go about letting him change/fall into the alternate evil pally type? It says it involves a complex ritual and witnesses from evil beings and maybe a living sacrifice.
Open to suggestions here.

He's wanting to be an Anti-Paladin? And you're okay with that?
If so, whatever you guys feel is okay. He'll need a chaotic evil god to sponsor him, and he'd need to gain favor with that god.
Such a power will want a demonstration of commitment.... on the order of a kill your friend/loved one and dedicate their soul to said power type. (that means no raise/resurrection for said soul.

So, this Paladin doesn't just want to fall, he wants to FALL!!! I no longer GM for anti-paladins, but so long as you are both cool with where it leads, have at.
Someday I might play a Fallen Paladin, meaning a paladin who lost their holy mojo through some transgression. Probably still Lawful Good. Basically a fighter lacking extra feats. The tough part there is I'd have to start with a paladin, then play out the fall. Maybe just start fallen. But not your player's kind of FALLEN!!! :-)

I'd have him sacrifice/torture the soul of his familiar as part of his ritual/transgression into darkness. Sadly, no Chosen One archetype exists for Anti-Paladin but it probably would not be tough to homebrew one. If you are cool with that, having his familiar become corrupted first could be a very cool descent.
Of course, this is assuming he wants to be CE rather than LE (or LN/N/etc). And that the player wants to fall but not the character.

I think I have it kinda figured out on how he'll start his fall or how to make the fall ritual go.
I'm a big fan of the Jim Butcher novels about Harry Dresden. I'm thinking along the lines of the Order of the Black Denarius and how they're all fallen angels that inhabit silver Denarius coins used by Judas. Ala 30 pieces of silver.
Found a company online by sheer chance through a Facebook news feed page suggestion that makes fantasy prop coins out of metal.
For $15 I got 30 silver roman style coins coming. I'll have him find them on an evil outsider or something along those lines. They'll be in a small pouch that is made from human skin.
They'll start to whisper to him at night and show him tempting things.
I might start the whole 7 deadly sins type of nightmares. I could use suggestions & ideas to make his night time evenings a thing to remember.
I'll even tempt him to evil by letting him spend them and have NPC's think they're Platinum coins and have the coins reappear every evening. Until he falls that is, after that they'll merge into his skin and have an effect like the Greater Brand Spell and flare up whenever he's within 30ft of his former god Iomedae's holy symbol & when he commits a Good act and falls from evil.
The coins will burn into the palms, back of hands, forehead, top/bottom of feet, and over the heart and side of ribs. The rest will form around his neck and cannot be removed by him casually. They'll stay there in any shape he takes. All until he gets the Greater Brand removed. But from there he'll still feel the weight of the coins around his neck and still see his brands but nobody else will. Kinda a phantom itch/feeling thing.
Thoughts?
