Join me in congratulating Scott Kysh in getting his 5th star!
I met Scott for the first time about a year ago and was instantly struck by Scott's passion for Pathfinder Society and his enthusiasm for introducing new players to the joys of Pathfinder Society. Since Scott is an outstanding member of both the Bay Area Pathfinder Society and the Central Valley Pathfinder Society, it was my distinct honor to sit at Scott's qualifying table.
Scott tells a rich and engrossing story with wonderful characterizations and a deep field of rules knowledge. He rolls with the unexpected situations, that are bound to come up when a GM has a table of yahoos, with great aplomb. I'd be somewhat remiss if I didn't say that I hope that one day I can be as good of a GM as Scott Kysh!
He has done a great job helping build the various communities all over Northern California - from teaching new players at an after-school program in Turlock, to helping out at KulbaCon, to being an excellent example of a great human - he makes my job so much easier.
And with that, thank you Scott - for all your hard work and dedication. Congratulations. You've more than earned it.

Scott is an amazing GM and player. He definitely deserves to be awarded his fifth star and to be celebrated for all the work he has put in as a GM, organizer, volunteer, and player.
My favorite moment at the table with him has to have been watching his paladin collaborate with Trusty Buddy as a peer.

Thanks for all the blood sweat and tears, Scott. You're definitely a 5-Star guy in my book!
I can only second (or third) what the others have said. You're amazing on multiple fronts and PFS, both locally and in online play, is lucky to have you. If people haven't had the chance to play at one of your tables, I whole heartedly recommend that they try to get into one.

Scott ran the first PFS (and Pathfinder) game that I played in. At the time I was deciding which organized play system to start organizing in Sacramento, and that first impression went a long way in helping me recognize the richness and strength of the PFS system.
Congratulations my friend. Keep up the good work!

I don't think it's any stretch to say that Scott is the reason I've continued to play PFS for so long. He's given me tons of tips on how to GM, and allowed me to establish a loyal player base. He's also very enjoyable to play with on either side of the screen, and his characters personas often bring a smile to everyone's faces. Huge congratulations to him for his 5th star. Hopefully he can come down and GM for us again after Dundracon. ^>^

When you think about it, those are really my 5 stars. After all, I remember counseling Scott on how to GM at his first convention, Pacificon, way back in the good old days.
Ayep...I appreciate all the congrats, guys.
Also, Scott, you're pretty ok too.
Don't get crazy, Pain. I convinced him to *attend* that convention. I'm totally taking credit for his fabulousness...

| 1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Rob - I keep trying, but every time I bring it up he says things like
"I can't; my wife's pregnant"
"{redacted} is literally giving birth right now and you're asking me about PFS?"
"I can't; we've just had a baby."
"Ouch, quit hitting me."Maybe I should change my tactic...
I'll try a different approach next time I see him. I'm already sad that we're missing him for DundraCon, I've got him committed to KublaCon though.

I've benefited from his GMing too many times to count. But he can be even more fun to play with. Kyshkumen turns the brightest shade of red when the game goes just that wee bit too far over the line...
Congrats on the 5th star, and may you have many more stars (as well as those killer *red* moments)!

I've always considered myself a product of my local community so you have to share those stars with a lot of people, but I'd say Verdis gets more credit then Painlord.

If that cucumber card keeps coming up in our CAH games I might get desensitized enough to stop having those red moments.
Thank you everyone for the kind words. It's been a great journey with tons of fun and happy memories.

Scott, congratulations on the 5th star. You were my 2nd GM for my 4th and 5th PFS game back at Dundracon 2012. You took my poor cavalier to the Edge of Heaven and then scared her (well OK not to death) with a strange clockwork contraption used to see the stars and the remnants of some poor dead guy. She was never quite the same.
Thanks for a great time and I look forward to seeing you at Kublacon.
