I just completed a scenario for our group and went to report the session and it would not allow me to report two of the players who were at the table. These are two of our regular players and it was telling me it couldnt add them because there number was wrong or the credit was wrong.
So, I completed the session reporting for the rest of the group and went back in adter and tried to add each person individually but it would not allow me to still. Is there a way to edit the existing session to add in these players, and why would it not allow them to be reported? I have reported them in other games and havent had this issue. And, just to clarify, they are newer to Pathfinder and this is the only group they play in, so its not because they have played the scenario before.
Help! Still new to the GMing and reporting thing!

OK, this is the error message I am receiving:
" IMPORTANT
One or more characters cannot play this scenario due to being the wrong character/scenario type. "
And based on a previous post in here with reporting issues it mentions that perhaps the incorrect box is checked, or its something to do with the characters not being registered.
Question: How does a character who has received a PFS number NOT show as registered? Is there something else they need to do on their account?

this seems like an appropriate thread for my concern:
i am volunteering to gm for a bunch of teens at local library. they have been assigned pfs numbers; however, some have not gone online and registered at paizo.com.
due to their being early teens, some are restricted to certain online activities (be it being grounded from using internet; not tech savvy enough to go online to register; simply being a teen and things like this doesn't seem important; and among other reasons -- all legitimate and realistic restrictions) that prevents their pfs number being activated.
up until pathfinder core was introduced (and the reporting system was reprogrammed to accommodate it), i was able to report a roster of pcs, whether their pfs numbers were activated or not. now, i can no long do this: the system requires pcs pfs numbers to be "live" to save out and register the reporting. also, i cannot make any edits to previous reporting sessions for the same reason; they are pretty much locked down.
is there a fix or workaround to this in the works? if not, what recommendations/solutions does paizo have for a gm in my situation? i would like to have access to my gm credits as soon as i've done a session.
thanks.

Temporary, with option to edit, is to enter the session with whatever info it will take, and just go back in later to add the other information once the site is fixed.
Because of things like the Specials, which actually require a GM with no direct players (The Overseer GM), it is possible to enter a game with only the GM's information in it. Later, you can click on the Edit button, and add the missing information back in.

this is what I've done because I have GMs working on stars. I don't want to punish them, so I've entered what I could, highlighted the rest. everything the rest is going to be very low priority, however. I'm not going to bust my balls helping people out who didn't bother to register in the first place. like dorothy said, they have their chronicle anyway. reporting is secondary for the players.
