[PFS] First Wolder Summoner Questions

Link, Is there some big advantage that I am not seeing for being Fey, or is this archetype more about summon nature's ally?

I think it's more about having both the eidolon and your summons at the same time. At least that is what I've been told before.

That, and Pugwampis. Lots and lots of Pugwampis.

If I wanted to focus on summon nature's allies, is there a better class/archetype?

Druid can get more summoned creatures, but they don't last as long.

I don't believe the First World summoner is PFS legal.

The hunter variant without pet looks good when it comes to summoning.

I just double checked, First Worlder is one of the few PFS legal Summoner Archetypes.

There's a big advantage... you don't wind up being the mega threat overshadow your party Summoner. The First Worlder actually forces you to think along different lines if you want to be effective. Your eidolon is not going to be the big bad bruiser a standard one will be... but you might be able to think of different uses for it.

Plus there are some feats that boost Summon Nature's Ally quite nicely.

What are the chief differences between a First World summoner and a Wild Caller summoner?

Wild Caller, among other thing it is half-elf only and not PFS legal.

Boss awesome! I even have that book and never realized it was PFS legal. Hmm... That makes character concept #67 waiting to be played.

The biggest issue is that due to wording differences the First Worlder's power is a full round action to summon and the summons last only rounds/level. This is covered on a couple of other First Worlder threads I found when looking into it myself a few months ago.

A friend of mine built a First Worlder for PFS focusing on triggering surprise rounds using a very stealthy Eidolon, so he could start the action of summoning in the surprise round and then complete it on his first turn (using the rules that let you split up a one round action into two standard actions). The Feydolon then flits around triggering wands like an Improved Familiar would.

I am yet to find anything official that says the summon of a first worlder is not a standard action. Quite the contrary. The conversations i have had conclude its still a standard action and a min per level per what is normal for the class. I would be glad to share that with you if you like Exguardi. That being said there may have finally been an official ruling i missed out there. If so please post.
